I don't fully understand how they work, but I believe there are two "ranking" systems on FO.
1. On the
main page is the most searched for models in a 24 hour period. It's called "Yesterday's Most Searched Babes," but I'm not convinced it's only updated once every 24 hours. I think it may change throughout the day based on new searches, and always keep running totals for the previous 24 hours no matter what time of day it is.
2. From the 'Babes' menu on that page, you can choose
Popular Babes, and that is a whole different ranking system. On this page are the 100 most popular babes of the last 24 hours, but it isn't based on searches. I believe it is based on the star rankings on the individual model's pages. At the moment, Madison Ivy is #1, and if you click on her, you'll go to her Dashboard where her Global Rank is #1. She apparently got there by having the most people give her 5 star ratings, but again, I think that's only the amount in the last 24 hours.
If you click on her Global Rank, it opens the chart of how popular she has been, and by default it shows the past year. It keeps running totals of star rankings among just Pornstars, but also Overall Position. Apparently Global Rank and Overall Position mean the same thing. If you adjust the chart to show only the past week, she's actually like 5 or 6, which is why I think the displayed rank is only the last 24 hours, whereas this chart can only show the past week, and she has a lower rank for that entire period.
Which brings us to you, lovely Aaliyah. Your Overall Ranking is listed as
#212 for yesterday, 2-27, but your Adult Model Rank is #26 (apparently you are still classified as an Adult Model, not a Pornstar?). Today your Dashboard says #219, evidently reflecting activity since 2-27.
Regardless of how FO computes the totals, the key is the star rankings on your Dashboard page. The more votes you receive and the higher those ratings are, the higher your Overall Position. The trick is, people are only allowed to vote once, or at least Board Members are only allowed to vote once. When I try to rate you 5 stars, it tells me "You have already rated this babe." If we're logged in, we can only rate each Babe once, and not just once per day, but once
ever. It's possible non-Board Members (or Board Members who aren't logged in) can vote multiple times, but at the very least there's probably something to exclude multiple ratings for the same Babe from the same IP address or something.
So I guess the answer to your question (I'm finally getting around to it) is that your Global Rank increases as the number of
new FO site visitors rate you 5 stars. You need to keep getting new ratings, continuously over time.
Periodically asking your nearly
187K Twitter followers (which is just staggering, BTW) to go to your Dashboard and rate you 5 stars should be an easy way to drum up more activity, if you're inclined to do so. Just an idea.
Love you, Babe.
