Well... there are rifles and even some shotguns with a revolving cylinder. Though generally one wouldn't call them revolvers. Thus specifying pistol is rather redundant. Of course it seems to be inaccurate anyway as the 6,009 statistic from 2010 seems to refer to pistols in general, and not revolvers in specific (though yes, that is a revolver in the pretty little picture).

A pistol is a semi automatic, magazine feed handgun....a "1911 .45ACP".

Pass laws to force people to be responsible driver and less people will die in car accidents.

Funnily enough, you need a license to drive a car and driving drunk is a crime.

Comparing gun deaths to car deaths with the idea of saying that cars are worse than guns is frankly ridiculous.
Cars are not taken out in public with the express idea of defending oneself or attacking someone else. Guns are.
Most car owners use their cars every day, so the percentage of time in use versus deaths is minimal. With guns, the chance of a death when the gun is used is high.
I am not counting shooting ranges in this, in the same way that I would not include driving your car for fun on a racing track, where it is used in a "safe" environment for fun and practice.

I don't believe 4 year olds can use let alone hold and shoot, or even handle the recoil from a legitimate AK-47. And the only places you can even get a-hold of one is through ranges that have class III licenses in very select states (New York is not one of them).

And for the record, that isn't a coffin. It may have the shape of it, but those are an older style of target used to depict the human torso for IPSC class, before they switched.

Now, get back inside your bedroom and practice "racking that slide" on your shotgun so you will remember how to scare the bad guy away. Or, better yet...sell your shotgun and make a recording of the "racking sound" and simply turn on your tape player when you want to scare the intruder away.

Good job hillbilly. It only took you a month+ to come up with this half-ass reply. And, after a month, you still haven't answered the question. Are these deaths by revolver, are these deaths by pistol, or are these deaths by handgun? If it is revolver only, where are the stats for pistols?

A pistol is not synonymous with "handgun"? Please armchair commando, show us a picture of a pistol that is NOT a handgun. You insisted on bringing this up (a month later), so I'll expect a reply.
