A Toaster Question

We have a toaster oven, it stays on the counter

Ever since I got my air fryer my toaster oven has been put away. And no, there is no way I am lugging that beast off the counter every time I use it.
I just push it against the wall to make some space when not in use.

I do live in Los Angeles. I better put my toaster away before a gaggle of hobos try pitching a tent in there.

I do put the toaster in the cabinet below. And every morning I take it out of the cabinet and I put it on the counter above. What does that mean? Right now it is still on the counter. I have to take the butter out early too. I do that when I feed the cat. Lots of times, I just forget to take the butter out of the fridge, and I'll warm it up on the stove when I heat the water up in the tea kettle. I put the butter next to the tea kettle. The heat from the tea kettle softens up the butter.

You can keep some butter out. We keep a stick in the cabinet atop the stack of clean plates

Just spontaneously? Or are you concerned with someone dropping a fork in it, and shorting it out? I've just never heard of anyone worrying about a toaster. Christmas tree lights, cable boxes, or small fans, stuff that you leave on all the time, I've heard of, but never a toaster. Now what do you wanna bet, my fuckin' toaster will go up in flames today?!
