A PROBLEM accessing a friends profile and in sending PMs.

This is a screen shot of cindy CD/TV's profile page. It appears like this exactly as shown when I try and access it from any place other than the rep given list screen. Why is that? anyone got a clue how this is?. I can't send PM's or anything to cindy through this happening.

I can select their PM option from a post I see or from my friends list. And this screenshot is all I get in return. Unless I access it from the rep given list as I said. No wonder I've not had any response to two PMs I've sent cindy. They obviously are not getting them but they show up SENT on my side.

Not sure if this is the correct section to post this in. But since it's talk and it's a popular section hopefully someone will be able to let me know what the hell is going on.

Are you sure you are trying to contact the same person, that user hasn't been active on the board in two years.

Double check who you are trying to PM.

I see cindy CD/TV's picture in my friends list. And its the same picture that I see when I go to the right cindy profile. But when I access it by the above means that screen shot appears. I've had and sent PM's before Through all these means, now I can't. Somethings definitely not right here as I've not changed anything on my side. It's puzzling me a little as this is the first time it's happened.

The first link in your post is the right one. But when I access the name from my PM section even it goes straight to the second links profile. How can that be if I've had PM's from the first link and it's taking me to the fucking second link. THAT IS FUCKED!

Sorry for losing it guys but I'm under stress here at home at the moment and this ain't helping any.

I tried sending a PM to the first link, the right one, and I made sure everything was correct. Then when I went to SENT and opened the pm and clicked cindys name it took me right to the second link profile.

The only thing I can think of doing is allowing one of you Admins or mods into my account password included and you can try sending a PM to the first link. Then go to SENT and open that pm and click cindy's name and see what happens. Afterwards Ill change my password to something else.

Being unable to send a PM through a short cut is not something to get work up over, so chill.

PM someone on the board admin, it's clearly a tech issue behind the scenes. Copy and paste your two missed PM's, send em to the right person, do it the long way if need be but relax.

It's not the situation that was making me lose it. Its the situation at home at the moment that has me on edge. Normally I wouldn't go mental over something like this. It's like I'm trying to deal with things here and I am on a short fuse. And then something which would normally be a walk in the park to handle gives me that final shove over the edge haha daft I know but well it is what it is. And yes I've chilled out now

Don't involve the mods, this has nothing to do with them. Giving anyone access to your account would be a waste of time since the same results would happen. This is a tech issue for admin to deal with.

Probably best if you do, I'm not a mod anymore and the problem is linked to your contacts after all.

Just for future reference, for board-related issues it's best to pm either Regina or Andrés. They're the ones who deal with the board. Petra and Ronald should only be pm'ed if you have penis pictures to share with someone.

Wow. An imposter? I'm not sure what's going on from a technical standpoint, but I can say that page was NOT created by me. I thought my handle was pretty unique, but now it seems I must change it to "The Real Cindy CD/TV - 2008," or perhaps "RedStormRising" (if you saw my hair you'd understand ). Whoever created that profile apparently didn't do anything with it, which is a good thing because there isn't enough room in FO for me and Anti-Cindy. If anyone sees her, let me know. I'll bring the steel cage, she will bring her blood. Mwa haa haa ...

It's not an imposter. The extra profile was created at some point after the merging of accounts with myFO and the board. When the merge happens from the myFO side this sometimes happens and we never know about it until someone tries to PM the person but the PMs go to the 2nd account. This is the only way a 2nd account can be made with the same username.

Sorry cindy I wont be able to send any responses to your PMs just now. There's something else happening with the PM now. Your account looks like it's in guest mode. And there is no option to respond through this happening. I try clicking on your username and it takes me to a screen that says the link is invalid. And Guest is below your name as well.

I've contacted an admin so we'll see what happens.
