I was just wondering where does a girl and a guy get their "pornstar" name from?.
Who has a list of every pornstars name or is there a huge database?.It's just thought i would like to know?.

Regarding the op, there are all manner of weird and wonderful ways various starlets have come up with there stage names.

There's no real tried and tested formula or rule for creating a name in the biz.

Thanks everyone for your interest in my question and for all your replys!.I know of the "IAFD" website and it's a really rather good website too!?.I guess that new girls and guys must sign up to a model agency first,and they might name each new girl and guy there?,but who know's all the stage names that are already thought up and already given out to pornstars today?,and for the person who liked my username,that's hkg,short for Hong Kong and phooey,the super crime fighting,kung fu,cartoon dog,you know!?,lol.

I saw the behind the scenes segment from one of Mike John´s movies (i think it was Semen Sippers 2) where Erik Everhard was asking this new girl what her stage name was. She said she didn´t have one, so then he said something like "hm, let´s see, you´ve got a flower dress on and your first name is Veronika. Your stage name is Veronika Flower". So yeah, an amazing amount of thought goes into these names sometimes. :1orglaugh

I've help a lot of first-timers pick names.

Some don't give a flying-fuck what their porn name is and others spend hours dreaming up the perfect porn name. The both invariably show up and want to use a name that someone else is already using.

Here's what I tell them:

1. Make it simple to spell - if your new fan's can't spell it, they will have trouble finding you on the internet.

2. Make sure it's not in use. Search the name on a few of the popular search engines and make sure no one is using in the industry.

3. Make sure the domain name is available. No use having a name that you can't control.



As for my porn name, I was sitting in a local strip club with two friends and the last song of the night was playing. In this club, if a stripper doesn't have a private dance during the last song, she has to do her last set on stage.

There were 8 girls on the stage when one of my buddies commented to the other that I had "Nailed" most of the girls on stage then proceeded to point at the strippers one-at-a-time saying "Richard nailed her, Richard nailed her, Richard nailed her, Richard nailed her, Richard nailed her, Richard nailed her, Richard nailed her, Richard nailder, Richard Nailder......"

That's how I became known as 'Richard Nailder'.

"Michelle Wild" and "Jessica Lynn" is two of the worst examples of this. Surely there must have been some agent, director, or something who´s told them that there already is a very popular performer who´s using that name and that they should change it.

Well,thanks for everyone's interest in my question and i guess there is no one place in the
porn business for getting your "pornstar" name!?.I wonder how many silly names i could think up and search for on freeones?,for some girl or guy to be using that name and also two different pornstars using the same names!?.I wonder.........,lol!?.
I thought up one silly "pornstar" name,that couldn't really be some girls real name?,and i thought up the name "Summer Breeze" and yes!,there is a European girl using that name.I thought a stage name like that would belong to an American girl,but no!.As for guy's names,i think "Arnold Schwarzenpecker" is a good and funny male pornstar name!?.And the person who wrote about Mike John giving one girl her "pornstar" name in one of his own movies,well........it's a bit funny that and i would have thought she would have got one already!.It's also funny,because i've got that same dvd,"Semen Sippers 2",somewhere?, that i bought years ago,so i will find it and take a look!.
