A.C.O.R.N - a Mickey Mouse outfit

Yep, that's what I was saying. Goofy and Porky Pig too. Someone blamed this on Obama!

News today said one guy was given money or cigarettes and signed up each of 74 times.

don't all Americans have a fundamental right to vote.

you are discriminating against him :D

This is a concerted effort by those who see the dramatic upsurge in voter registration as a threat, to cast aspirtions on the over 1.5 million new registrations gained by acorn.Turnout by new first time voters is going to be decisive in this election and examples like Mickey Mouse being registered are not "voter fraud".Mickey will not be showing up at a polling place to cast a vote.Next McCain will be asking for a "poll tax" so that voter turnout is further reduced as it once was by "poll taxes" in certain (read minority/black) communitys. No doubt new registrations probably primarily favor Obama and so that's why you see all this coming from the media on Acorn and it's not just Fox noise, but wait there all liberal leaning and in the bag for Obama so what are they doing?:1orglaugh.
I was actually out doing voter registration over the weekend (no not Acorn, don't think they are in my area). We were technically non-partisan although you will find almost exclusively people who are more left then right doing such things and I even registered people who made sure I knew they were voting for McCain.I turned those registrations in as well lol. It's about democracy and participation and it's too bad some see that as a threat.

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
Other fraudulent registrations included forms for the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys football team.

:1orglaugh:rofl::1orglaugh

so anything is allowed as long as Obama wins? is that really democracy? Because if he doesn't win all the ducks are in a row to challenge the entire integrity of the system. Caused by Acorn, the ends justify the means.

Yeah, I felt bad for the guy and hope he's not going to face charges. He was just some homeless person and did what he had to. Obviously those few cigarettes and dollars made a difference to him.

But as we know, there is no poverty in America!

We have the most obese impoverished people in the world. :D

I think that much of the "poverty" in America is due to the poor choices that individuals make, with respect to how they prioritize . . . things. ;)

"Registration fraud' which some people at Acorn (trying to make quotas) probably engaged in is a far cry from "voter fraud".As I said earlier Mickey Mouse since he doesn't really exist is not going to show up to vote. This is nothing new in the political process. While we always have to worry about voting irregularities it sure isn't particular to one party.Lets not forget the 2000 election which many people including me don't think GWB really won.

Socially and cognitively impoverished although no one here will admit it.

No, I said myself Mickey Mouse won't show up so other than the problem created for the local voter registration people, what has this got to do with Obama? He hired Acorn to encourage new voters, but I guess they won't be working for him again in 2012, OR never for McCain either after this fiasco.

Then again Acorn is just living the American Dream in 2008. Rip off as many for as much as possible while you can get away with it.

Just to clarify while I do think Obama once did some legal work for Acorn he was just on TV saying they have had nothing to do with his campaign and it's registration effort. He has ahd registration efforts but nothing with Acorn. But again make no mistake about it even though not affilaited Acorn and its registration efforts are more to his benefit then McCains.Personally I think all this about Acorn is being blown way out of proportion as a way to try to invalidate the results later by the right (republicans) when they lose.Think about this if every wall st firm/mortgage co or even car dealer was damned because some employees maybe cut a corner and was out of buisness would any be left???:dunno::1orglaugh

That may be. I had heard he hired them to solicit new voters to register which not only doesn't guarantee him a vote, it also doesn't mean legitimate registrants will vote.

Either way it has nothing to do with the truth as being screamed by some McCain supporters.

Are you that much of an orthodox to believe everything that your choice politician might say . . . particularly one who encircles himself with thuggery ?

Orthodoxy :sighs:

Oh come on If he was to say something like "Acorn has not been affilated or working for my campaign" and it wasn't true do you not know that Fox noise would be all over it.You may not like Barak but give him credit for not being an idiot at least.Thuggery (geez I didn't know he hung out with Rush) lol.But I guess you mean people like Ayers who was right in the 60s or blacks who dare to tell the truth like Wright.Give me them over the right wing know nothings of this country any day of the week.

You could have at least found a source besides Fox for the Acorn story, they are totaly a right wing republican mouthpiece if you want to talk about orthodoxy.

I think it was a matter of someone in his party choosing someone to perform a service that screwed them as was their policy when they thought they could get away with it.

I got screwed by the local garage in doing my brakes and didn't find out until a year later when I had moved.

Why is anyone out there suggesting there is any more to this than that obvious fact?

I don't know why Acorn's function is so widely misunderstood. It's really pretty clear, the worker's screwed their employer to make more money on registrations.

Tell you what, when you read Mickey Mouse, Jimmy Johns, and Godzilla did get caught voting illegally, please PM me with the article.

Hiliary 2020
Obama is probably not involved, but I think its obvious who these fake voters created by acorn will be trying to vote for.
Just another reason I can not relate to the democratic party..:(

It all comes down to having a voter card at the polling stand. If you not are the real Mickey Mouse and your residency does not say Orlando, you cannot vote...
