I want to go fast, stop short and pin my date to the side glass when cornering
Hmmm...is cornering the only time you want to do that to your date? :1orglaugh

Let's hope you're not disrespecting my Maybach 62S (62 inches long). It's more than 3000 pounds, and you better believe it will beat that tiny toy car of yours. The 62S (V12, more than 500 horsepower) will floor just about any sports car, and this is usually at twice the weight. Not only that, it provides not only a faster car, it provides a far better driving experience.
Whatever you do, don't disrespect Maybach (respect goes out to those who own the 57 too, S or no S).
PS: "S" stands for "special" and the model number describes the length of the car in inches.
ROFL to that 'extreme stripped down' car I agree with the sentiments of
-no true car is a crossover of anything
-theres no substitute for rear wheel drive
-N/A engines kick ass, turbo's get the job done but its like losing your soul!
I'm a massive fan of Australian Holdens, HSV's. whilst not being purely sportscar, they probably come closest to; at a wicked budget!
here is a pic of the new model:

i LOVE Vettes! The C2's for their styling (owned a 64 stingray for a few years)
American built, lots of muscle, just as much as the European exotics and for a fraction of the cost!
Big Nikki... my dude, what's wrong , big homie? The exotics and all of the high lux rides that have been mentioned are all good, but, a good old Detroit Steel V8 with 4 plus under the hood sitting on some Goodyear F1's ? OMFG if that don't get em wet or get any red blooded, steak eating , tequila shot taking, pussy fucking, shit talker rock hard, then I 'll go buy a fucking Mini
ah yes, the poor man's vette. . . i mean the camaro!
Leave it to my old friend saint to kick my ass. (Where have you been?)
I said that I was shopping, I didn't say "buying"!
Ah, the Maybach, the Edsel of our generation. They can barely give that car away. And, it is in fact, a perfect, perfect example of what is wrong with cars today - a car spec'd and made for the marketing department. (And we all know the marketing departments know the least about trends and engineering no matter what the product/industry!)
What I'm on about, I think, is that I wish that the list of true performance options was longer and full of real things, like differentials, ratios, weight savings options and strike outs - instead of "performance aluminum dashboard inlays" or "sport leather steering wheel". I understand that these cars are mainly bought by bankers and such who need to justify their 70+ hours a week, but some of us couldn't give a (whatever) and want to drive while we still can. And even the cars in other categories suffer from the same terminal goal of being pimp'd and not performenc'd. "Sport dual exhaust", "18" performance wheels with low profile tires" (on a 4 cyl...).... "high performance painted brake calipers" :wtf:
