That was a argument from authority fallacy I believe. The evidence is all that matters. Just saying "I have a friend..." doesn't cut it. An anecdote about a hypothteical Phd. chemist... dunno. Name of expert, and EVIDENCE.

My point was that with his first hand knowledge of chemistry and being part of the scientific community,he can corroborate some of the scientific facts that were presented in the movie Zeitgeist to a far better degree more than just some average Joe that doesn't know the difference between a beaker and a Bunsen Burner.

Unless someone else here is a Phd Chemist,I think that I'll sway more to his side of what's true and not in regards to the chemistry subjects discussed in the film.

Most engineers disagree about the steel being weakened. Steel loses half of it's strengh at 1100 degrees. Jet fuel burn from 800 degrees to 1500 degress. Also, the crash propelled jet fuel through building, and knocked off fire proofing. Although the latter was probably less of a factor actually.























Why would it have? The leading hypothesis that steel weaken and floors sagged which put stress on the columns on the sides which started collapse.

Well, regular houses could reach upto 1500 degress, we call that a flashover, so I would think that jet fuel and other combustibles in the building would reach a higher temp.?

Well, also thats the tricky part with buildings, some weaken on the sides to make a "V", other fall on one side & some pancake! It seems that the buildings pancaked but, at a rapid pace thats what is kinda puzzling/weird!!

Its not that easy....they would have had to be guided in, courses completely re-written and lower the plane well before those "tallest buildings in New York" were even close to being within site.
This was an "approved" mission (from the inside- It Would HAVE to be!!!!), and well planned out. Not by cave dwellers half the world away.

Not only that, but I've read reports and heard experts say that not a single one of those terrorists could even fly a plane, not to mention a plane the size of the jets that were expertly guided into the buildings by some aviation expert and not some third world person with a limited education and a lack of flying abilities.

Let's assume for a second that the terrorists were flying the planes, and take into account they had no flight training at all. Those planes would've gone down long before they even reached NYC, let alone flying them with expert precision into 2 buildings. Terrorists flying those planes without help? I don't think so.

The towers were build to withstand the impact of a 747 jet, and not fall to the ground.

Ask the people who were in the ground floor about how they felt an explosion from the basement before the planes hit.

I don't know how much the US has earned thanks to the war in Iraq, but it cost quite a lot according to the article I posted.

I cannot say for sure if there's a profit or a loss, but looking at the costs, I'm gonna guess it's a loss & not a profit the US is making in Iraq at the moment.

I cannot say for sure if there's a profit or a loss, but looking at the costs, I'm gonna guess it's a loss & not a profit the US is making in Iraq at the moment.

The costs of a war are paid through tax-money. The profits are earned by companies. So the politician who "coincidently" owns (or has ties to) these particular companies (for example oil & construction) can expect fat profits.
...while not one dollar of the warcost is from his pocket. It´s your pocket the money for a war comes from. Destroy and rebuild is the golden rule to earn (personal) profits.

on this topic i just attended a talk given by a couple of profs not far from where i live it was free and widely advertised on the radio and in the paper about 60 people attended and was mainly a large group of local PHDs and teachers doctors and intellectuals my self not included just open minded . there is an ever growing movement by these people throughout the world called Truthers seeking the truth and wanting a full investigation into 9/11

First let me say I do think for one second it was any type of 'inside job".Was some negligence involved, probably (it was ridiculously easy for them to get control of those airplanes,all you needed was hardened closed cockpit doors to prevent that) but no inside job.

But if as you say lets suppose it was, while maybe not a revolution there would be a lot of reaction.If that ever was proven those involved would be in real danger of being executed and even I as someone against the death penalty would only half heartedly argue for life imprisonment.9/11 caused so much death and expenditure and disruption for america that the anger and demand for their blood would be overwhelming.
