7.000.000.000

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/wor...ica-camacho-born-philippines-article-1.969830

We're there. We're with 7 billion on this planet. A girl was born in the Philippines and was officially recognized as number 7.000.000.000.

What do you think about this evolution? Is Mother Earth made for this? Can we provide food for all these people, and what about work, and poverty.
New calculations say that we will hit 9.000.000.000 people before 2050.

Personlly I believe in te science that says that the maximum number is 3 billion, but what about you?

It's not evolution it's over population plain and simple. There's no way there is enough food to feed all these people indefinably and the number continues to rise with each passing day. We're way over due for a good cataclysm.

Question then is if this number is going to tear us all down of course. After all, rich countries keep on sending money to poor countries. I know it's a sensitive subject, but take Africa for instance, I don't know about the US, but Europe keeps on sending aid and lots of money. Does that mean then that this is a bottom less pit? Should we stop doing that so more people die? Is this ethically correct?
Here are the numbers:
1 billion - 1804
2 billion - 1927
3 billion - 1959
4 billion - 1974
5 billion - 1987
6 billion - 1999
7 billion - 2011

As you see, it always goes faster and faster. And it gets faster in those countries where people are dying from hunger.

We are way over populated and it is half the problem with our economy here in the u.s.

 Africa is not a country.

Conspiracy...
Seriously? :surprise:
No it's a bunch of countries where people are dying of hunger.
What's it got to do with the discussion anyway weather it's a country of a continent?

Glad you realize that now. Not really relevant to the topic just annoying when people call africa a country. And not all countries in africa are dying of hunger btw.

I wonder if she'll get a tattoo with the 7 Billion number? That way when you find her in the Philippines strip club, we'll all know who she is.

There is more than enough food to go around and the amount we throw away in the west is sickening, myself included. There are many factors for population growth, less wars and better medical care are primary reasons, maybe all the food and medicine we send to Africa has saved lives and ultimately kept the numbers up so this is a good outcome rather than a bad one. I don't think more people are having kids but rather many of these kids are surviving infancy as well as others living into older ages. I do think people on the whole worldwide need to have 2-3 kids at the most, if you're filthy rich and can pay everything for them have as many as you like, having kids when you can't afford to feed or cloth them is also not good as their lives are a struggle from day one.

No, I'm the seven billionth baby! Claims to the title come in from around the world

* United Nations recognises Danica as one of the world's symbolic 'seven billionth' babies, presenting her with a special cake
* Other parents come forward to claim the record for their own child
* The UN say Seven Billion Day - October 31 - is the date when the world's population reaches landmark number

Sure more babies in Africa surviving infancy and ultimately childhood. All of whom the rest of the fucking world gets to provide food, medicine, clothes too so they continue to survive. Great!!! Lets keep that trend going. Throwing money at a cesspool full of disease which is all they provide as a thank you for all our efforts. All while the rest of the world's economy continues to go down the drain! Awesome, just fucking awesome!!!

As for the food thing. Right now there is plenty of food sure. But at the worlds continued rate of population expansion there is no way the food is sustainable indefinably. We (as in the whole world) will suffer a food shortage at some point. It's only a matter of time. Eventually population WILL out grow food production. Think about it.

Aww, and she's got a little Adebisi hat on.

I don't know what you're talking about, I never said Africa was een country...
And no, not all countries, that's also something I never said. Perhaps you should read it again. ;)

Ya kinda did refer to it as one. Unless I am missing some specific countries like Congo, Libya, Kenya, Tanzania etc.

Anyway back to the topic at hand...
