Not that it is the end all be all source of information, but after reading the Wiki article on it (and avoiding any video)...I have a question.
How can one have compassion or forgiveness for those involved? I am not overly religious but do believe in moral standards and yet I can not find any reason to accept or let a higher power judge the suspects. Is that just the mark of being human, and I am therefore no better because I am willing to sentence the accused to a more "humane" death?
Also one other issue...why is that people who do these kinds of things insist that it is simply the strong asserting power over the weak? Could one not argue that the truly strong are the socially normal people? The strong are those that put whimsy on hold to obey laws and social morals, yet being human are not perfect and have no issue ending those that commit such acts.
