3-D vs 2-D Movies

Do you guys like the recent trend of Avatar, Alice in Wonderland, and Clash of The Titans all being shown in 3-D? I'm sure Hollywood has tons more in the works. I went and saw Clash of The Titans last night, but chose to watch it in 2-D. I think a movie should be judged on whether or not it's actually a good movie and not some kind of "gimmick." :2 cents:

3-D is a shit gimmick. Especially Alice In Wonderland & Clash of the Titans when the 3D has just been added as an afterthought to cash in on the trend.

If the movie was made with the intention of 3D (like Avatar) then I'm okay with it. If the movie was made with the intention of 2D but made 3D as an afterthought (like Clash of the Titans) then forget it.

Agreed. Avatar was fuckin beatuiful and the the 3d was amaizing. Alice in wonderland and clash of the titans 3d versions sucked compared to Avatars. If more movies were like avatar then it would be much more popular.

2D, definitely. 3D is a stupid gimmick that adds absolutely nothing to the movie. Even a movie like Avatar that was designed for 3D did nothing for me, if anything it made the experience an annoyance because of the uncomfortable glasses.

My girlfriend complained about getting a headache after watching Avatar and Clash of the Titans in 3D.

I'll have the balls to say it: I like movies in 3D. I don't want every movie made to be in 3D, but once in a while it's fun to watch.
