The 2014 AVN Awards Show will take place on January 18, 2014 at the Hard Rock Hotel And Casino Las Vegas and will be hosted by Chanel Preston and Samantha Saint.

I keep forgetting to make this post. Have regularly been voting in the relevant categories for the active OCSMs and occasional visitors - Aaliyah Love, Vanilla DeVille, Rachel Starr, Nikki Benz.... Christy Mack (hides). :heart:

I've also been voting for most of the categories but overall I've been disappointed in some of the names missing. A lot of my favs aren't in best body, best boobs, fav female pornstar, etc. Even Milf category, most are younger than me so I just can't view them as a MILF tbh.

^ Good question, Briana. I think you would be able to find out if you contact the AVN and just ask them. Or you could ask some of the OCSMs who have been nominated and learn from them.

Somewhere in October the pre-nomination starts. AVN publishes a list of their categories and then studios can send in copies of videos they've released in the past year. A nominations committee makes a selection from these videos. At least that's what I deduced from this:

With the due exceptions: sponsors and their accolades get nominated and awarded, both on avn and xbiz
That's why always the same get nominated, always the same win. Porn Valley has become the most auto-referential biz lobby in the world.
It still helps your biz to get nominated or awarded, but if you don't work for their sponsors or you don't sponsor them it's gonna be real hard.

Award elections are fun, but reading the organization did such a thorough job and worked hard makes me laugh. Black girls are scarce, 90% is the skinny pale type. I voted for Maserati XXX, crazy though she's only nominated in Hottest Ass category. Her ass is fine, but off course her best assets by far are her boobs, but well these are natural off course.
