2007 MLB Thread

oh im serious my chinese martial arts loving friend. if i had the chance of choosing where i play, i choose my mecca. jacobs field. dont underestimate my love for the indians. i mean, i walked into a tattoo shop sober and got it. i want to don the tribe jersey for real.

You got that forever grinning cartoon injun imprinted on your body?

...maybe you are serious. LOL

5/2

Vegas odds Justin Verlander throws out his arm in the coming year ala Prior, Wood, Zumaya, Liriano, etc.

I got tired of hearing about the no-hitter on the news all day today.

I also wonder why no-hitters are given more attention than say somebody that allows one single and no walks in a complete game shutout? For me it's perfect game or nothing. :1orglaugh

have you ever seen a perfect game live? i have. my first game too.

lol - I took a stab at your age range and wasn't sure how long you'd lived in LA

I'd forgotten all about the Martinez perfecto - good call.
Google says July 28th, 1991. That's one heck of a way to start your career as a live baseball spectator

By the way - when you said Barry Bonds spurned you, what did he do?

Dear Philly and Atlanta fans. The Dodgers accept your thanks for having just swept the Mets. Amazingly enough, they managed not to have two men thrown out at the plate on the same play this series....(dumbasses!)

ESPN does tend to treat them like an O.J. Bronco chase. They recently cut into PTI's broadcast to show the 9th inning of Curt Schilling's almost no-hitter. Screwed up my TiVo.

the year was 1993. barry's first year with the giants. as a 12 year old boy and a huge barry bonds fan, i got to see the giants in town on the field level near the dugout. i saw barry just kicking it by the side rail a few feet from the dugout. he wasnt doing anything at the moment. so, my step dad took me up to him. i managed to get his attention and ask him for his autograph. now keep in mind, this was pre game. did he give it to me? no, worse. he stared at me and turned and walked into the dugout. he didnt come out for a while. not for defensive drills, not for bp, not for anything. lets just say, that ive been hating barry bonds a lot longer than most.

edit: i forgot. i was wearing a giants shirt in dodger stadium. thats a huge no-no.

That'd be the only reason i could think of. ESPN has turned into the MTV of sports. It seems to be more bullshit analysis of games than it is actual games.

Yep. I don't watch too much ESPN, cause all day at work I listen to sports radio. I usually just watch ESPN News, just to get stats and updates.
