I'd work a hundred hrs. a week and sleep in my car or truck in order to keep my kid out of some ranky section 8 shit hole !

I wish I was the judge....30 years! You'll make nice little girlfriends.

Not that any part of this story is a laughing matter, but this is pretty funny, and I also fully agree with you. Maximum punishment for these little fucks. This is unreal. It's time for the justice system to step it up a notch on this one. This shit makes me sick...

Wrong influences, wrong music. wrong example set by associates who probably have done time. It reminds me of that film "Alphadog'.

That has to be the lamest excuse ever. I listen to a lot of crazy shit and I never wanted to set someone on fire.

I listen to Dimmu Bigor and I never wanted to light people on fire...................I might of though about it.:D

Sad part is these kids will get a slapon the wrist but the kid that took his knife to school and kept it in his car will get life.

Any thoughts on a mental evaluation? Even so, finding out they are unstable in some way will only lead to having them pumped with drugs that they probably can't pronounce...

My sig at the moment has lyrics of a song about how a guy wants to be cannibalized and he would even give his daughter up to be cannibalized. Bloodbath you silly band, you

Beyond that, it is like violence in video games. Small factor if at all. Most cases where video game violence was blamed for a violent act, drugs are most the time involved.

Basically people know right from wrong, reality from fantasy; it is just so many scapegoats to get out of taking responsibility for one's self.

I say put them in the court as an adult. Time to come down hard on crap like this.

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
Everybodys talking about the parents.
Well most of them probably had no dad around and maybe the mom did the best she could.
Its too easy just to say blame the parents.

In this case, I agree.

I'm usually one of the first people to point fingers at the parents, as I truly believe that parenting (or lack thereof) can directly effect a child's personality and they way act in society, but, in this case, I would have to say that the parents aren't to blame; the kids are.

My dad was in the Navy for 20+ years and he was barely ever home when I was growing up, but I didn't turn into some little psychopathic demon. And, even if I did, could I really blame my father for my actions? No, I couldn't. Neither can these kids. These kids can't blame anybody or anything but themselves for how they act. Like I said, I agree that parents have a strong influence on their children, but even the worst parenting in the world won't make your kid think that setting someone on fire and watching them die is even remotely close to being an acceptable thing to do.

These kids better get a life sentence for what they did. It's a miracle that the child who was set on fire ended up surviving, but that shouldn't tame their punishment what-so-ever. Try them as adults and give them life in prison. Then, after the first time they're raped in the shower and they begin to cry to the warden, have the warden say "at least you didn't get set on fire..."

what the fuck you lookin at?
Well, here in Canada they'd most likely get a slap on the wrist and get sent to a juvenile detention center. You'd probably never know their identities and when they turned 18 their record would be wiped clean. So, it could be worse America.

Yea, thats about all that'll happen here in America too.

I'm sure that 15 year old will get his revenge when he's old
enough to buy a gun ;)

I would!

Apparently 5 of the 4 attackers were 15. There is no way that a sane person of that age is unable to comprehend that behaviour like this is wrong. The age of criminal responsibility should be lowered.

It really should.

Make an example out of these fucks. ALL of em! Show other so called "children" that just cause your under 18 doesn't mean shit! Our justice system is all fucked up anyway. But when it comes to "juveniles" its just a fuckin joke! Kids do shit just because they know they won't get into to much trouble. Even if they do go to juvy, they'll have a clean slate when they turn 18.

Yea, this story makes me sick too. Fucked up to light someone on fire, but then given the fact that I know won't shit happen to any of these little fucks makes me more mad than anything!!!

If they are doing that at 15, you can only imagine what they would do when they get older. Anybody that is willing to murder another person is mentally unstable, so that's never an excuse. Lock them up and throw away the keys for a looooong time!!:2 cents:
