I couldn't help but think of that case myself when reading this article. To be fair, I am not sure that the Ramsey girl being in pageants and living such a lifestyle had anything to do with her death, since we still do not know everything about that. On the other hand, it might have.
HOWEVER...many people were quick to blame her parents when this happened. This was because of a general disagreement across the country and the world for the lifestyle that these parents put the girl through. I think we all generally agree that this pageant lifestyle and making girls grow up too fast is a harmful way to parent. It could attract pedophiles, lead to a lack of self-worth, shallow personality and judgement, and perhaps most imporantly, robs the kid of a chance to be a kid. Childhood is a time for learning, and just about all these girls learn is that looks are the only thing that matters.
