We need a thread for the ones that aren't miserable in one form or another.

This is it.

How are they miserable when they are happy with God?

He means the one's that are still in porn and say they are happy.

Until a few years later or less and they change their mind. ;)

Or, the one's that finally snag a gullible guy into marrying them then they leave.

Which is not a good reason at all. If they are truly happy in porn, why leave once you're married?

Exactly.

Are there any pornstars that are happy in their line of work, that haven't come from a fucked up childhood-at least not more fucked up than normal?

Well,apparently they're the minority,or at least that's the perception......

It is just a perception. Plenty of people that would in adult had great childhoods. A lot of people like to assume if you enjoy working in adult then you were molested, beaten, or someone fucked you up as you were growing up. God forbid that some people actually like to work in porn.

That's my point:Who are they, and how come we never hear about them?

The stereotype holds true for a reason:The negative is always going to get the most attention. It's been repeated so many times,it's now just assumed.

Not really. I have seen a lot of pornstar interviews where they say they had a great childhood. It doesn't get a lot of press because people want to hear how you are a victim and the adult industry uses and abuses you. In this society people love to hear the bad shit, not the good shit. :2 cents:

True...

You never hear about depressed people that recover, but you do hear about depressed people that jump of buildings or in front of trains, although most depressed people recover...

You never hear about policemen that just do their jobs, but you do hear about policemen that are corrupt or extremely violent...

You don't hear anything if a flight goes right, but when an airplane crashes it's on the news in every nation of the world, even though it's the safest means of transportation.

People want sensation. People want to hear/see that other people are worse of than they are, so that they'll feel better.

People want things to talk about and let's be honest, there's not much to talk about if everything goes right.

George Michael jerking off in the toilet of fucking another man in public is sensation...

Michael Jackson allegedly doing things to kids is sensation.

Ozzy Osbourne using every drug that has ever been invented was sensation for a relatively short time.

A famous pornstar being abused and turning to god is sensation.

This doesn't mean that every rockstar does drugs or that every popstar does things with other men/children. Better yet, those are only small minorities.

Very true. People like to hear things that are interesting and somewhat disturbing. I personally had a great childhood. I went to Catholic schools and have a great family. No one gives a shit. They want to know what fucked me up so that I would want to work in adult. I guess the answer of loving to be naked and not seeing it as a big deal is not a good enough answer. Someone had to beat me or touch me as a kid. It is pretty sick how some people actually believe that shit happened to most people in adult.

Good points Gordar. ^

Ya know just to add on to that. Another thing is there's the fact that adult performers, in some way or another, all have different levels anonymity so you only have about so much information about their personal lives to began with. I think that's why it stands out so much whenever any bad news comes out of porn. I mean if something fucked up happens to one pornstar, then in most instances, there won't be any happy good stories to measure that bad news against because the details of most of these girls lives and who they are is hidden for safety reasons.

Plus there's what you mentioned. The pleasant happy stuff happening in that business is boring, not newsworthy and no one really cares to discuss it. That all seems to be what creates this broad assumption that there's some evil shit going on behind the scenes.
