Does anyone know why *** deaths drop drastically in the 1990's ???

Forgive me for bumping an old thread. I didn't want to start a new one about the same subject.

Automatic assault rifles don't belong in homes. Can we all agree on that? You want to buy one, purchase it from a range. Keep it stored there. Buy, sell, swap, or even rent one from there to use on that property. You want to visit some buddies to shoot on their range, have it shipped from range to range.

If anyone thinks that the above is too restricted or not enough please voice. I think it satisfies both sides.

First, they aren't automatic....that's a machine ***. I disagree strongly with not being allowed to keep them in your home. I would agree to raise the age to 21, and MAYBE go as far as a 5 day waiting period for the purchase of said rifle, but that's as far as I can go. In fact, a great deal of the people that use these guns to commit crimes, aren't legally allowed to have a ***. Even if they did something like you suggest, who's to say that facility can't be robbed....or used to set someone up. You can't honestly believe that most of these ******* weapons in the hands of gangs, aren't stolen from military, or ***************....they just don't advertise it, you know how there ego is, they would never admit that something like that could happen.

There needs to be something done, there does, but the rights of the law abiding are not something that should be sacrificed, or even allowed to be considered. And if they do, there better be some VERY major effort to clean up ALL crime first, and prove it can be maintained for a significant time before any measures are taken.

I love you Bob, but you're wrong. Entirely. I'd rather greet a home invader with an "Assault Rifle," (whatever that is) than a ****** any time. Steadier aim because of three points of contact; greater chance of putting down a threat immediately; if someone manages to get closer than seven yards from me, I can close in quickly, while still firing and give 'em a good old fashioned butt stroke or barrel strike to the forehead; automatic weapons have been ******* for civilian use since the 1930's.

I know a guy who owns a tank. Perfectly legal. And I fully support his right to blow **** up real good.

No they're not....just a lot of hoops to jump through, and an exorbitant cost.
