Most people who are convicted of rape are given nothing more than a slap on the wrist. This doesn't surprise me in the least.

I call BS...Mike Tyson is not the only one convicted and sentenced for the crime of rape.
Proving rape is a real bitch when there is a great deal of consensual sex in our society...an attack by a stranger at night, for instance, is not hard to prove and carries a severe penalty...proving Kobe raped the hotel employee was a bit harder.
Daddies, brothers, and friends are all a girl has left to look to for justice nowadays, in a lot of cases; and there are a lot of those guys without the balls to deal with the perps.

Unfortunately I know exactly how tough they can be and how tough their buddies can be. People think I'm calling them scumbags without ever having met one of them. I've met tons and have had tons of bad experiences with them. I'm not just judging people I don't know. I'm judging people I don't know that are like people I know.

60% of rapes don't go reported...in itself an estimation, as not reporting a rape doesn't get it into gen statistics.
The site adds the 60% into the jail time percentage.
Therefore, 6% is a super bullshit figure, like saying murders that don't get committed should be factored into a murder rate to show how safe a city is.
So, really, what I said is correct, more so than what you claim to be the facts.
1] better than half of reported rapists are arrested.
2] 80% are prosecuted
3] of those, 58% are convicted.
4] and of those, if it's a felony conviction, there is a 70% chance of doing time.
As the site you went to is an anti-rape site, I'm sure skewing figures is in their best interests; while when it come to prison time, it needs to be an accurate conviction, and as we all know an accusation isn't evidence of wrongdoing, especially when it comes to having sex.
I don't see that "rape is more of a hunting sport for men, who rarely get jail time".
It's taken seriously by LE and the courts, with verifiable evidence.

I never said that women who claim rape are not to be believed, unlike yourself who put a 90% bad stink on a very large group of awesome people, male and female. I know you haven't met anywhere near 90% of the military types in this world, but you obviously got your butt kicked by a few or had your girlfriend leave you for a real man, who happened to be a military man. Something along those lines for such a bitterness towards millions of good folks, the vast majority of them.
I have seen and experienced females claiming untrue things due to the speed with which LE will arrest a male for anything done to a female, with any evidence no matter how flimsy.

I've read that entire website. I've done my research on rape, rapists, the legal system, etc. I'm well aware of the reality that surrounds rape, it's victims and it's offenders.

Do I have a personal connection with rape? Yes, absolutely. Because of my mother and the countless number of family members, friends, co-workers and loved ones that have suffered through it themselves. But, do I have a personal agenda? No, absolutely not. If I could, I would murder every rapist with my bare hands, but I know that there's not a whole hell of a lot I can do about crimes that have already happened.

It is somewhat difficult to prove if someone is raped or not, but not because there is a lack of physical evidence (DNA). It's just hard to prove that the sex was against the woman's will, because you can't really prove a person's emotions, mentality or sexual desire, especially when you have to travel back in time in order to do so. But, even with significant DNA evidence, a lot of guilty rapists are let go. DNA doesn't prove that someone is raped in every case. Like I said, it's damn near impossible to prove that a woman wasn't having sex against her will.

Legally, it's hard to prove that every rapist is guilty, even if we all know that they are. Realistically, most rapists are let go because of legal loopholes, which, as I said, is nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

Rape happens everywhere. Whether the number is 1/3, 2/3, 1/4, 3/4, whatever. Whether it has a ".", "%", or "#" before or after, it happens.

Military, civilian, convent, public school, private school, church, police department, fire department, sidewalk, alley, bar, hotel, suite, backseat of a car, movie theatre, wherever, it doesn't matter. Rape happens. And sometimes, no matter where the rapist is, civilian court, military court, whatever court, they may get off, they may get convicted, they might get a slap on the wrist or thrown the book at them.

It's shitty when it happens. Majority of people hate to see it happen. Yet, it happens.

We live in an otherwise fallen, crappy world and it isn't going anywhere. No matter where it is.
