I think you're forgetting there's a second wildcard team for the first time this year, and though the Cardinals are close to locking that up the Dodgers, Brewers (and I think the Phillies?) are still alive to win that.

I think this was an outstanding trade by the Reds. Broxton has one of the best arms in the game. Wicked fastball, and he developed an offspeed pitch to compliment it. I found it encouraging that despite Obama's repeated 2008 campaign proposal to raise their taxes the majority of america's wealthiest voters still voted for him. But the "I've got mine, go fuck yourself" mentality seems to be creeping back into predominance in this country again. Yep.

I think the Dodgers return to reality has finally begun. Frankly I'm amazed they held it together this long.
