Notre Dame's problem is they can't recruit blue-chip defensive talent. Usually southern schools, USC, Ohio State and Penn State get the top notch defensive talent. I think Notre Dame's academic standards are preventing them from coming.

Really? I wasn't even aware UCLA was still playing football this season. They've been pretty much nonexistent since the Tennessee win. I could really care less about USC, but even I have to take SC in a blowout. 35-10.

The total opposite for the first 6 games. I must say though, the Denver offense looks totally different with Orton at QB then Simms. Still, it looks like the Denver defense was playing with smoke and mirrors in those first 6 games. The undersized D-line is just getting pushed around.

Is it me.... or does this college football season suck!? We just don't have the same quality of teams we had a year ago. Florida, Alabama, Texas, are all notches below where they were a year ago. Last years USC team would crush any of the current top teams... and they(USC) were only the 4th or...

Nothing real special, besides USC getting crushed by Stanford and Notre Dame losing to Pitt.
