Thats just for the base game. If you have the Broken Steel expansion max lvl is 30. I ran into that same problem with the fire ants during the Those mission with my first character, but usually one shot to the head from a hunting rifle puts them down.

Yep I need to do another run in there. They werent bad. It was the skags and bandits that were annoying.

I was collecting shock crystals. Had to find 50 of them. There was a claptrap to help in there too. I got the crystals then repaired him then dashed out.

Im like 16 atm, Im in the lost cave. Fortunately I found some good upgrades but still having to run and hide from time to time.

These Skags hordes are being a pain in the ass. Im glad I picked Roland so I can hide behind my turret lol.
