Yeah, pretty much what Sabrina said. I wouldn't replace monthly testing or the like, but an on-set rapid test would help increase safety. They're pretty accurate in that they don't miss infections. They might, in rare cases, show a false positive, but if the goal is to detect HIV, it's good there.

You know, I should add that this actually kinda validates the current system. They found a performer who has HIV and she's been removed from performing.

I get the incubation period and all of that. That said, when AIM was doing all of this, that risk was still present, performers only had to show a clean test within the last month. If the OraQuick test could be used on set, that would surely be better than using a test that is up to a month...

Ok here's what I don't get.... The oral rapid test takes 20 minutes. Why not just do that with each performer on the set right before a shoot? That probably sounds like a dumb question, but is it because it requires a trained professional to administer the test? Or something like that?
