I tend to read a lot of books that aren't appropriate for all-ages. Right now I have Insatiable Wives by Dr. David Ley and My Other Self, Sexual fantasies, fetishes, and kinks by Angela Lewis, PhD, that I'm trying to read. I have the physical copies of the books but it'd be a whole lot easier...

Looks to be a good comparison... Kindle vs Nook vs iPad vs Sony Reader - which ebook reader should you buy?. Looks like the Kindle did very well in this review.

I use the Kindle app on my Droid. I really like it! I'd love to have an actual Kindle, and hope Santa (or some random wishlist viewer) will decide it's a good Christmas present... I honestly haven't heard anything about the Nook though. Have you looked at online reviews/comparisons?
