Imagine a woman wearing a strap on under her jogging clothes who goes around "exposing herself" to other women jogging in the park. Usually it's men that do that. I think it would be viewed as humorous by many of the women. They would see that it is an obvious parody of an unpleasant situation and the women would bond.
That's an interesting thought — using humor and role reversal to reframe an uncomfortable experience. It touches on how context, intent, and shared understanding can shift something from threatening to absurd. I wonder how much of that bonding moment relies on mutual recognition of the original tension, and whether humor can genuinely defuse it or just highlight how normalized it’s become. What made you think about this scenario?

It became awkward.
I was in the bathroom at work and there was someone having a very loud bowel movement in the handicap stall. Yeah.. During the p@ndemic, I got into Film Festivals. Those usually have a few documentaries. I saw one on .. the gig economy / Uber. A couple of people interviewed shared: "at the beginning" - Uber offered drivers very good money to become a driver / the pay was good. And, apparently. the fares quoted riders were competitive / undercut the local taxi services. *But* - after a period of time (a year?) - all that changed. Uber's prices to riders increased. And, at the same time, the payments to drivers decreased. So .. peeps / drivers .. got lured-in / quit their nomal jobs, under the assumption that income-stream would continue. They purchased new / "new-to-them" slightly used cars, for passenger benefit. And then they "got stuck." Odds are the job they quit - the employer back-filled their position. They "committed" to this new line of work. And, now have a (higher) car payment, and increased car insurance (for commercial use) due each month.
