I took riding lessons as a kid I learned how to get off a falling horse. I was surprised actually when I was in the situation that I remembered but it was really a good thing I did. Under the horse would have been horrible. Yes they are.

I was ridding in the winter and we were having a mid winter thaw. The trail was really muddy. The guide was an idiot and had us run around a muddy rocky corner. My horse legs slid out from under him and I jumped off but as he was falling I didn't make a clean jump so I end up landing on my side into a pile of rocks and wated the horse finish his fall then slid into a small tree The horse was fine I got back up on rode back to that stalls waited for everyone elses ride to be over went back to the condo we were staying at and dispite what I wanted my family called an ambulance and it was a good thing I had severally brused most of my right side but surprisingly H had managed not to break anything. Sadly I did end up with a bit or perminant damage to my kidney. I have this funky black spot on it now that shouldn't be there. The original bruse on it looked cool though it was like I had a giant spider on my kidney. lol
