I meant when we use chain hoists. We just refer to them as motors. Lodestar, CM, and 2 or 3 others that I can't think of are the most common ones.
I see. The reason why I ask is because when we run motors sometimes the phase on the distro is reversed from the building's current. About all I knew about the problem is that you have to flip the "phase reverse" switch on the distro to have it in phase. Thank you! :hatsoff:
I see. One more rookie question. When something is out of phase and you reverse the polarity, are you basically rerouting the charge so it completes the circuit correctly?
I got a question for you. What's the difference between ground and neutral? Like I said, I only play stage electrician every once in a while, but I don't really have a clear concept of what everything is and why it is.
