Grits are more of an acquired taste. It's ground hominy. The way they make it in the South is they cook it in salt, pepper, and butter. They're pretty bland like that, if you ask me. They way my mom makes them is she cooks them in milk, and adds cinnamon and sugar. That's pretty good.
