Yeah thats probably it.It's just some nut job.There are at least 3 threads on it in the talk section.Latest one was how the cops blew it.Some woman had come to them saying the rapist had raped her (she wasn't killed obviously) and the cops for some reason didn't give her story credence even though the rapist had done time for rape in the past.Facetious says it's cause the cops are worried about being seen as racist so they gave the rapist a pass lol.That is nonsense of course,the cops were just negligent.

As your post talked about the embargo hurts them economically so lifting would mean more prosperity and better lives for them.

Ok I explain.Many of the Cubans in america now have long hoped that when Fidel died they would be able to return to cuba and return things to the way they were prior to the revolution with them running things again.

Since so many of them are in Florida (a section called "little havana") candidates for president have had to pander to them and support the embargo just to get their votes.Most people in the US think the embargo is not helping anything or anyone.But again for political reasons it has been maintained to appease the fantical anti Castro Cubans living here.

Fidel Castro is a great man who fought for the betterment and freedom of his people against american exploitation.Before the revolution 90 % of cubans could not read and write, now almost all can.We need to recognize that castro being a communist was forced upon him by us,he had nowhere to turn but the Soviets for help in resisting us.

The US since the communist revolution in cuba in 1959 has had a trade embargo against them.Meaning no company here can buy or sell to them.That has been a big problem for the cubans since the US isuch an important country to be able to do buisness with.Before the revolution 80% of all the land in Cuba was owned by foreigners (mostly americans) and places like Havana were just big tourist attractions for again mainly americans.We were exploiting the shit out of them,the peasants farming land we owned and took all the profits from fr the people in Havana who if they were among the lucky ones were allowed to be bellhops at the hotels we stayed in or whores lol.

The Cubans who left and came mainly to Florida (although we have a lot up here in NJ) were mainly the lucky few who we let do well under the old dictator before the revolution.They support the embargo and prey for the day when they can return and run Cuba again.Hopefully they never get to do that.
