Quite all right...it has been frustrating for a lot of us. I think a lot of others have been run away by Sam and the lack of moderation as well - the grasshopper, Jaggar, skyraider. What depresses me a bit more is that, when sam was banned a while back, the board was making a comeback of sorts. Now, the downward spiral continues.

Its been like this every year. So much anticipation and expectation, and by the end of it people are sick to their stomach of it.

Part of my major in college was learning how to get over performance anxiety. I pretty much learned how to take that anxiety of playing in front of an audience and transform it from "Oh, shit, people are gonna be watching me! :eek:" to "Fuck yeah, I'm gonna be playing in front of an audience! :nanner:" I'm still terrified of doing it, but I figure that if I'm gonna do something I might as well do it with a bang.

Doing what you do, though, my respects to you. You say that there are only 2 people in the room when you do a shoot. That's 2 more people than I would feel comfortable with. Hell, half the time I feel embarrassed looking in the mirror if I'm nekkid. No way in hell I could ever do it in front of people. Not that they'd want to see me in the first place... :o

Ya know, on Tuesday I had to give my Masonic third degree proficiency in front of the lodge. Basically, it's a 10-page dialog, or rather an interrogation, where the examiner asks something, and the candidate responds with a huge, lengthy explanation. It took me 2 weeks to memorize it, and I thought I was all ready to go, and then when I walked into the lodge and saw there were about 30 people watching, one of which was the Grand Master of California (he's the top Masonic officer in the state of California. Sort of like the CEO), I totally forgot it. Apparently I didn't do too bad, though; I got a 5-minute standing ovation from everyone present when I finished. But, yeah, public speaking just isn't my thing. :o

It's not necessarily public speaking, per se. The whole class is putting on a skit detailing the legal process from crime to trial. We have to incorporate interpretation into the skits. My group is doing the trial. I'm the defendant who's getting direct-and cross-examined. I'm not looking forward to this.

I'm in the same boat. I have a group presentation due on Monday, and I'm basically the only one who has done anything, and then we have the final the following week. It won't help that next week we have Roger Waters, and I'll probably be on that for 4 or 5 days. Oh, well.

Where are you moving? Still in St. Louis? I hate moving. I don't envy you.
