Soviet-era school **** would've turned their noses up at that. But once again, they know what's best. Are her **** eating the same?

"Don't eat the [NOBABE]brown sugar[/NOBABE] man!, it's your trip, but the [NOBABE]brown sugar[/NOBABE] is no good!"

Whoever comes up with these lunch menus are idiots. "Registered Dieticians", I would imagine, people who are experts at the useless, outdated, and completely erroneous food pyramid everyone learns in third grade. RD's don't understand basic food chemistry, yet these are the morons we turn institutional nutritional responsibilities over to, just dumb. Nice post for a change, Will.

Sorry about the humongous lunch pic earlier in this thread. I posted that on my phone and had no idea it was that big. That's what she said.

I don't know exactly what needs to be done, but several years ago, when I went with a friend of mine to pick up her *** after school, it looked like a herd of waddling, fat piglets exiting the school building. When a 9 year old has a double chin, something's wrong, folks!

**** these days most definitely need to eat healthier. They need to get more exercise too. And stop telling society that we need to accept fat, lazy **** just as they are. Eating disorders, my ass! Diabetes and heart disease isn't going to take any pity on them.

I enjoy listening to KFI's John and Ken as they make fun of the ladies on my side of town referring to them as greenish zombies who live on carrot and celery sticks and meet up at Whole Foods to compare notes and brag how their ***** triumphantly played for a tie last weekend.

It has been noted that dietary recommendations often coincide with the production mix of the the national agricultural sector. So food pyramids and whatever often has more to to with trade policy than with physiology, and of as late environmental policy. Just see that controversy around LCHF; what that comes down to is that a world on a LCHF diet would be even less sustainable that the one we have today, and would cause spikes in grain prices (cattle require a lot of caloric input per caloric output, and hence a meet eating world is a more calorie intensive world) and thus mass starvation in poorer countries as food would be sucked out of them and into the industrialized world in order to feed livestock. But you can't tell that to the sheeple. If they believed that LCHF was more healthy to them they would eat it and compartmentalize the effects. So you have to sell them on the idea that LCHF, or real food as its proponents call it, is somehow bad for them even though the **** they are eating today is actually worse.

But regarding the subject of the thread, I would suspect that these habits of unhealthy eating are more representative of the lower classes. A low ability to take in and process information and, above all, very high discounting factors, make them suckers for immediate gratification through white flour, fat, sugar, and salt. Interestingly they are all vegetable based and thus contributes to keeping the **** off meat. Problem solved, so to speak.

Great observations, and really illustrates how much cattle to slaughter, so to speak, the public has become. It's not even necessary to go completely LCHF to eat a healthier diet, eliminating the overly processed foods and eating more vegetables and fruit is a great start, avoiding HFCS and MSG are also important steps. One of the most widespread and least talked about health problems we face today is candida infections, and the "Food Pyramid" recommendations provides a perfect breeding ground. Most people have candida problems and don't even know it and it's easily cured with the right diet.

Sorry. But I couldn't resist.

Behold, the future of America:

Normally I would complain about nanny state type of things, but considering that these are 1. **** and 2. These are meals provided by the state, I don't have a problem with them being ****** to be healthy. **** are too stupid to make important informed decisions for themselves, and they don't have the rights adults have. Their parents can make meals for them to bring and have them be unhealthy. That's their prerogative, but if schools want to serve only healthy options for the **** that go to them and the **** don't like it, tough crap.

Good for Texas, the rest of the country needs to follow their lead.

The parents don't want the schools to do this. So, the schools should not do it.

These stupid rules were created by Michelle, who is not an elected official.

Will, if you had eaten healthier food during your youinger years, less cupcake and other bad stuff, your brain would have been in far better shape.

I still honour you, you mean well. You just wrecked your health, and obviously your parents and your school did not stop you.

 What?

I'm fine.

So for the freedom for meal choice guys - how far do you stretch your declaration of what choice of school meal is okay and where it gets wrong or dangerous longterm (Or even shortterm)?
