We own it, the Americans. We now own it because we earned it fair and square by ******* the native residents and taking it or running them out of area. It's the American way. It is not our fault that they were a weak opponent.
Maybe Philbert can be let out of his cage for a day or so just so he could chime in on this. I am sure his responses would put him right back in it, but it would be entertaining reading to say the least.

If I understand correctly Texas was a Mexican area until 1848, then the United States used military ***** against the orginal owners and invaded their terrority.

Texas exists in perpetuity. It predates the United States and Mexico and whatever petty squabbles they may have and it surpasses both in it's consequence in the course of human history. Texans were playing high school football when what became the Ming Dynasty was just known as "those Ming boys from down the block."
Yes and some might say that maybe it is better that Texas is America's region because Mexico is so restless state nowadays.

Well, this is actually a very timely topic and most certainly isn't a parody (although it ought to be). It appears now that our terrific new governor (I mean, let's face it, Rick Perry is a tough act to follow but this is a really great move that rivals some of the Rickster's greater achievements by a long shot!) is really wary of some very suspicious US military exercises that are taking place near the town of Bastrop (which basically is just a place for weary travelers on their way from Houston to Austin to stop and take a ****). Now, after Alex Jones got some of the local residents all riled up about a possible move on behalf of the communist socialist fascist Marxist Kenyan Muslim Obama administration to possibly try to impose martial-law here in the Lone Star State to try to keep us rough and rowdy Texans in line at long last, Governor Abbott became very alarmed and decided to send the Texas State Guard (aka the militia) out to keep an eye on these possible "invaders". Now, I don't like to stereotype but I'm just sayin'....if you take a good look at some of the people who showed up to protest Obama's blatant aggression against all us good ol' boys I think you can get a pretty good idea of the level of mentality that's fueling this. Why we'll run all y'all outta heah, *** gummit! This here's Texus by golly!! Now....go on....git!! :ak47:

War is never a parody, but this thing is little amusing.
Texas area is a sort of no man's land if the United States has conquered it through war.
Then it is still at least nominally part of Mexico.
But if Mexico is offically recognized that Texas is part of United States and you have a document which is signed by the representative of Mexico then there is no problems.
