This song is sweeter than cotton candy, but in a way I like it.

Hero metal is what we call power metal in finland. You know, "WE WILL FIGHT FOR ODIN WITH THE ***** OF OUR ENEMIES AND CLAIM VICTORY OVER THOSE WHO HAVE WRONGED" and other cheesyness.

Yeah, that is the suckitude

Is Fight For Your Right by The Beastie Boys hero metal? I may have to make an exception for that one.

This is going to be one of my more tedious posts because I never knew the name of the band or the song, but the singer was some fuckin' retard who seemed to be immensly proud of his screaming voice. The first half of the song was some cheesy, pseudo-intense buildup to the second half of the song where this moron did nothing but scream like a mongoloid baboon with its dick caught in the zipper.

I was working in a side-of-the-road mini casino when this ear-**** of a song came out, and I warned the bartender that if I ever had to suffer more than 30 seconds of this auditory nightmare, I would crush the stereo and deal with the consequenses. And it almost happened. She got busy one time, the "song" came on, she saw me advancing across the room with madness in my eyes and she told everyone to just wait a sec and managed to get to the stereo right before I did. Crisis barely averted.

WTF is hero metal?

My vote is November Rain

First of all it's not even metal.

Maybe it's a heavy metal music with a message.

Many people think that Guns N' Roses is a heavy metal band.

I thought that it was rock band that was influenced by heavy metal.

Ronnie James Dio comes to mind when you're talking about "hero" metal. Asshead farta should have been more genre specific, "metal" is a huge umbrella.

I divide them into two groups.

Commerical heavy metal bands like Scorpions and the actual like early Black Sabbath

Hero metal is what we call power metal in finland. You know, "WE WILL FIGHT FOR ODIN WITH THE ***** OF OUR ENEMIES AND CLAIM VICTORY OVER THOSE WHO HAVE WRONGED" and other cheesyness.

That could be storybook text.

Yeah, that is the suckitude

Is Fight For Your Right by The Beastie Boys hero metal? I may have to make an exception for that one.

"Beastie Boys is a American hip hop band mixed with rock and punk music"

It have to be Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach.

He is a real bastard and ****'s boy.

You do the genre a disservice by lumping them all together like that. Sam Dunn has gone to great lengths to educate the masses on the culture of Heavy Metal, you should make a point of getting your hands on a copy of his documentary Metal Evolution.

No Sleep 'til Brooklyn and Fight For Your Right are metal in my eyes..or (ears)

They have been influenced by heavy metal music.

Heavy metal was born in England so those hooligans do not know how to play real heavy metal music.

The same thing applies to blues music.

Only the poor and black American who live in ghetto can play real blues music.
