Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Not that I have a dog in this fight, but I think all Nikki was saying was that aside from the lack of a tip, she got a creepy feeling about Mitt Romney. It's just a fact of like that no one is going to be adored by every single person that they meet. I'm sure there are people who have met Obama who don't like him either. That's just life. One doesn't need to find ten people who do think that he's a swell guy to try to contradict the one who thinks he's creepy. It's just life, right? :dunno:

As for the tip, I know nothing at all about campaign finance rules. But I do know quite a bit about corporate per diem rules. And if I'm trying to leave a tip for a housekeeper, I leave some money (out of my own pocket) on the bed with a note that simply says, "Thanks for the great service." It might only be $5 or $10, depending on the level of service and how long I've stayed - maybe a $20 if I've been there for several days and they went out of their way to be kind, but it's just a way to let them know that I appreciate whatever they've done to make my stay better. I cannot and do not try to expense those tips. I can expense meal tips, as long as I stay within the per diem limits. But I haven't found that many hotels that are set up to give tips specifically to housekeepers. So I've always done it my way. And I'm unaware of anything preventing Mr. Romney from doing the exact same thing. I'm going to assume that he carries $100 bills the way that I carry $1 bills - so it's not like he couldn't do it in every hotel he stays in and even feel like his pocket was getting slimmer.

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
I believe in equal rights for EVERY human being. Black, white, purple, gay, straight, disabled.

I'd prefer a president who tips.. But hey maybe I'm still bitter from Romney stiffing me on his 400+ room service bill.
You wanna watch those purple fuckers; they're all cunts.
I'm not surprised about him not tipping. I've worked with his kind and they like to not tip and grin at you.
It's the same way that ******** pull the wings off insects.
Ok.. I think you guys might have missed my point..
I don't want to be grouped in with any certain group or party.. I don't understand why I have to.. Why do we separate ourselves like that? It makes no sense to me.. :dunno
I worked room service at a hotel and Romney stayed there numerous times while campaigning in Cincinnati. He ordered over 400 dollars worth of stuff and not only didn't tip me but went out of his way to circle the total then proceed to write a zero in the tip line and wink at me.. Like a creeper.
He's creepy for sure.
No **** he's creepy.
I didn't realise you worked hospitality. What did you do and where? Enjoy it? Get under your skin?
Maybe my service was bad.. :dunno:

I mean the kitchen did take a while with his order..

For the record, his Secret Service men did tip me on their meals..

LOL You are too much.. I'm sure his bills were taken care of by campaign managers just like bands are covered by band managers, they still have to sign for their order.
Of course the secret service tipped; they're familiar with working hard.

Yeah it's like how half the world thinks Michael Jackson was a ***** ******** and the other half believes he was just a big ***** himself.. People form different opinions on things..

Yeah I worked at The Cincinnatian Hotel. First I was front desk then room service. I enjoyed parts of it.. The money usually sucked aside from a few good Saturdays.
