Is this possibly the worst modern day film ever made?

I plead the 5th...
The film is called "Rubber". It's about a tire with telepathic powers that rolls around & blows your head off. Seriously. If you wanna see it just search the internet. It's also been on Showtime lately.

Storyline from IMDB: Premium Link Upgrade
When Robert, a tire, discovers his destructive telepathic powers, he soon sets his sights on a desert town; in particular, a mysterious woman becomes his obsession.

Trailer:

Warning: If you watch the film you may lose what little faith you have in humanity's ability to create films that are not retarded.

To determine whether or not it is the worst film ever, ask yourself the following question:

1. Is it Batman & Robin?

If the answer is no, then it isn't the worst film ever.

I thought Rubber was fantastic.

The whole thing with the tyre is really only secondary to that of the audience within the film watching these events unfold. While I **** to use the term, it's very meta. It's not a film about a killer tyre. It's a comment on modern movie audiences.

If the words "Napoleon" and "Dynamite" are in the title, then it definitely has the possibility of being the worst movie ever made.

Love some of the reviews...

Mainly this one...
Rubber is a collection of scenes on film, held together by duct tape and bubble gum. The idea may have seemed great on paper but falls flat. From the start it tries to be clever and fails. However, stupid people will find the film clever and they will take pride in discovering the "cleverness" of it. When I say stupid people I'm not talking about high school drop outs or the guy working at the Shell station that has to count out forty cents to make change. I mean college educated adults that think they are cinema rebels. The kind of guy who screams about Michael Bay on a forum but stills pays to go see Transformers 2 three times. I will not call the movie stupid or horrible because its not. This movie is nothing, I mean it N-O-T-H-I-N-G. Could it be something, maybe, it could be a waste of time, it could be a "cult-hit" but in three years no one will even give it a second thought. Why I am writing this review, I can't really say other than I don't have a reason...

Note: I don't think anybody is completely stupid for liking this movie. I think the people who made the movie are stupid. :2 cents:

The premise is actually pretty funny and obviously doesn't take itself seriously. The worst ones are those that intend to be scary, funny or dramatic and epically fail at it.

Don't forget Catwoman. Which not only sucked almost beyond measure, but didn't really have anything to do with Catwoman as most people know the character at all and seemed like it was just some stupid vanity thing for and/or with Halle Barry (Who even admitted the movie sucked bad).

Ahh...superhero movies. It's funny how they can often be some of the greatest and most successful movies ever made or some of the biggest pieces of crap ever, especially Batman movies.

Manos, the Hands of Fate. Hands down.

Rubber looks like it was made in the spirit of ****** of the Killer Tomatoes...not at all to be taken seriously, and perhaps enjoyable if not.

You should watch it. IMO the film was made to be more serious.

Have any of you guy's actually seen the movie?

Pootie Tang is one of my favourite comedies.

As for Rubber, it's one of the coolest films I've seen in a while. Certainly not the worst movie ever. Not even the worst movie of the year.

WTF is wrong with you STDiva? ;)

Anyways... the worst film I've ever seen (in the 00's) is One Missed Call. 2nd - Rubber.

I guess a rim job is now out of the question!! :rofl2:

;) :) ;) :)

Tires have rims. Get it?

The 4th Kind might be the worst movie I've ever seen. Everything about it is fucking dumb. Owls are aliens now? Stupid faux footage. All the different frames in the shot. GTFO. I love horror. I love 'based on true (false) events' type movies and that movie fucking sucked. I turned that **** off half way through.

Pootie Tang did have its moments, funniest parts were the gorilla, when pootie dodges bullets, and last but not least the no sound song, that was genius but the rest of the movie just seemed too stupid.

The bullet dodging is priceless.
