Bring Back Sam Fisher

Sam was a quintessential troll who flooded the forum with his incessant and repetitively-themed and extreme right-wing threads to the point of nausea. Hell, even some of the most conservative members of this forum would abandon him and turn a blind-eye to many of his inane and banal arguments! He was also a narcissistic attention whore who repeatedly went way out of his way to deliberately make a spectacle of himself as a member of Freeones. I was totally turned off by the fact that he temporarily and single-handedly changed the entire nature of the talk section of the forum. He also was an extremely narrow-minded individual who showed little ability to accept or grasp any well-founded argument and subsequently and regularly resorted to insulting, inflammatory and diversionary tactics to make up for his incredibly shallow information stream and his extremely rudimentary level of knowledge or education on any given subject.

THAT SAID....as a constitutionalist and faithful believer in the freedom of expression, unless he ******** some major tenet of the forum of which I am presently unaware, I personally see no reason for him to be permanently ****** from the site. Am I sorry he's gone? Hell no. He was an asshole and a total pain in the ass. However, if those were the criteria in order for any of us to be ******, I dare say that many a member here would be similarly barred from Freeones.

I do, however, think it unwise to post any posthumous threads that are devoted to him as they can only feed his insatiable appetite for attention....now, as the inevitable "outside-looking-in" observer who is undoubtedly consumed with a desperate craving for an opportunity to return to the forum in order that he may once again become the center of attention to compensate for what must be an incredibly empty and bankrupt personal existence for him in the real world.

JMO of course....others may disagree. We got over Baconsalt....we'll get over Sam.

For us conservatives Sammy was like the "slow" uncle that talked politics over thanksgiving dinner and when he got out of line we distracted him with a shiny object.

Jeezus Tapdancing Christ. For all the ******* and moaning about this guy, all the rest of you do is pay attention to him. If this was junior high, the only part of the playground that isn't completely empty, is the area around Sam. I can't think of any past member who has received half the attention he has. And we're talkin' some pretty sharp members. Nightfly, McRocket, BNF, ChefChiTown, Hot Mega.....it's like they were never fuckin' here. But along comes a guy who, in my opinion at least, is the epitome of irrelevant, and you guys plow through him like a tub of popcorn at a double feature. When I say I don't get it, I mean this is totally outside my comprehension. But it's not Sam that's the problem. It's the rest of you.

He doesn't add anything to the forum except over the top Conservatism and repeat threads. If you like playing with Legos and sidewalk chalk, then I'm sure his posts appeal to you. Personally, I'd be happier if he stayed away. His *** toting, bike riding, generic Republican persona has become very tedious. Perhaps he can reinvent himself again to become more tolerable. The current version just annoys the fuck out of me.

Wouldn't have mattered to me. Anyone on the left who only uses left-wing information sources would be just as guilty of being an ostrich as far as I am concerned. We have some of those who post (or used to post may be the more accurate term) here but they weren't nearly as prolific in their volume so they weren't as visibly obnoxious as Sam.

He's on my "ignore" list (the only one on it in fact) so it won't bother me other than him continuously flooding the forum as always. That does indeed grow tiresome.

That's because you don't consistently make repeat threads or create political threads with enough holes in the the logic to throw Volkswagens through. Nor are you consistently obnoxious or annoying. Start doing any of the bullshit I just mentioned, and I'm sure you'll have problems with more people than just me. You'll be in Sam's position where a majority of the board doesn't want you around because they find your antics intolerable.
