If you've never seen "Dollhouse", this question is meaningless to you.

If you could sign a contract, giving up your identity and your memories for 5 years, never knowing what "they" programmed you to do, knowing that you will be independantly wealthy after your contract is up, would you do it?
 
No.
Oh, and Dollhouse was a big disappointment, the whole thing was really stiff and quite boring and worst of all was that the charm and wittiness from Joss Whedon´s earlier tv-shows was completely gone. One of the few good things about it was that you got to see old favourites like Amy Acker on tv again.

Oh, really? I have no idea what critics thought about the show but all the people i have talked to about the show were more or less disappointed (it should be noted that most of those people are huge Buffy fans and have certain expectations on what a Joss Whedon show should be like). The show could have been much better with another lead actress. Eliza Dushku really only have two emotions she can play well, slightly confused and angry.
 
I'd rather be a Manimal or maybe a WKRP in Cinncinati.
 
No, but I did enjoy the show and was disappointed when it was cancelled, even if it was not Joss Whedon at his best (he will never top Firefly), it was still a hell of a lot better than a lot of the tripe that is trotted out onto our sets in the name of entertainment.
 
Never seen Dollhouse, but sure, why not.

It's not like they would build an entire TV Sci-Fi show around such a premise if it always turned out bad, right?
 
I'm an Eliza Dushku fan, so I watched Dollhouse.
There were some problems with budget / network interference, if I remember correctly. So yeah - it could have been better. But it was better than a lot of crap that is still on.
As for the original question, it seems tempting. But 5 years is a long time to be totally at somebody else's mercy. So I probably woudn't do it, but I'd wish I had. Ha.
