Well in the eyes of God we all have to face death and nobody knows what happens after death. If anyone can prove otherwise but I doubt it. This is why no one is really better then the next person because we all have to face death and I believe when we die we will meet God and God will judge us based on our lives on earth. Also there must be a supreme being who created the universe and civilization so yeah I believe God created the universe. It is funny when an atheist is afraid of flying yet prays to God hoping the plane doesn't crash lol.

In general, religion (especially Christianity, Judaism and Islam) is the opiate of the masses as Marx and Engels described. Still, the quest for spirituality and the justification/reason for our being goes on. I would say that some religions bear much promise toward finding an answer to that question....most particularly Buddhism. However, in general, I agree. Most religions are total bullshit.

I don't believe in any religion, but I won't knock the peaceful faith of any other people.

It has been studied that singing in church gives similar crowd euphoria to being at a football or baseball game. If faith in god gives them wellbeing, a happier life and something to believe in, then good luck to them.

The things I don't like to see are religious fanatics trying to pester their beliefs onto others.
