Wall Street: Money never ******

Just in time for the election season will be the sequal to Wall Street.

The film takes place 23 years later in 2008 when Gordon Gekko is released from prision.

Michael Dogulas will reprise Gordon and Shia Lebouf will place his ********'s fiance.

Wall Street 2: Electric Boogalo! I cannot wait to see this one it has breakdancin, transforming robots, and that dork from Indiana Jones 4

Just saw the preview. Looks great but I'm worried about the PG13 rating.

That's what I am worried about as well. But PG13 today is a lot different that it was in '86.

One of its stars is Shia LeBeouf: Mr No Charisma, you want me to get excited about that? In my opinion it's a completely unnecessary sequel, made more to cash in on the original and what was then the current financial crisis than for reasons of making a good film. Stone isn't the idealistic director he once was and I haven't seen a good Douglas performance since The Game.

No, I am not looking forward to it.

I hope Oliver Stone's mega flop in South of the Border which had abysmal attendance in Venezuela (Oliver loves Chavez and thinks so high and mighty of sausage lips) stings so bad that he never does a film again.

Just in time for election season? Unfortunately, Geitner isn't running for reelection. He wasn't elected. Oh...was that a shot at the GOP? Is there a political party not symbiotic with Wall Street??

Anyways, the whole ex-wife thing is kind of fucked. Douglas may have been a prick of a husband, but there are some greedy people out there. If you think a CEO is greedy and ruthless, imagine their ex!

LaBOOF!

The first was a classic, they should of never made a sequel.

I really enjoyed the first one. To this day I think of that scene with Sheen looking over the city whenever I hear Talking Heads This Must Be the Place/Naive Melody. I even read the book after seeing the film and enjoyed it too. But I'm also prepared to be disappointed by this one. I can't stand Shia what's his name, and didn't Gekko have a *** in the first film? I'm sure that the *** in the scene where Sean "Batshit Crazy" Young wandered through a scene as wife/****** was a little boy.

Yes, evidently his *** commits sucide and Gordon blames his ******** Winnie for it.

How the hell does Shia Lebouf keep getting roles in movies? Does he have incriminating photos of a bunch of producers out there or something? I wonder how long it will be before they realize the rest of the world thinks he sucks.

Actually the last good Douglas performance was Traffic, but I see your point.

Loved the first one. Sadly, it's still relevant today (as threads around here discuss in the 2008 election runup)...

I gotsta say that the "Darien" hummer on "Bud Fox" in the limo scene....not bad for a non-porn hummer scene

Could Daryl Hannah really give a blow like that back in the day?

Will Shia LeBouf get blown somewhere in this film?

Completely inferior to the original -- which was fucking superb.

Almost as bad as Boiler Room -- Vin Diesel, u are an idiot!! :o

The first one was an excellent movie, one that gave people a real (if not somewhat fantasized) look into the lives of stockbrokers and how they go about their lives, from the little guys to the heads of the corporations. Michael Douglas was unforgettable as Gordon Gekko and Charlie Sheen was very good as Bud Fox.

The new one, however looks just awful. I've never been impressed with Shia LeBeouf as an actor, and the idea that Gekko is now out of touch with the world doesn't seem to sit quite right with me. The plot seems to reek of Gordon fixing the whole economy, which while interesting to see, comes across as unrealistic and somewhat pretentious. The whole idea of a sideplot is unneeded as well, if anything, we'd want to see more of Gekko than Shia, which sounds like it won't happen.

I honestly can't say that I look forward to it.
