Irgun

Well, it's not like there are many other heroes the Jews can call their own...

(Except for that Jesus guy...)

if my private school years serve me right, i believe that Jesus is only a prophet in the eyes of the Jews. hes the savior of christianity.

then Islam, Judaism and Christianity are so damn close it doesnt really matter. so i guess i said that for no reason

^ Well then the Jews have nothing.

Well, then maybe you should put the "Jews" on your ignore list...

Going by the general content of your posts, you have "nothing".

The truth is that The majority of people love the "terrorists" when we are on your "side". anyone here remember the smiling silence from U.S. on the IRA.
Ummm, no, sorry. Even many Irish-Americans from the mid-west though the IRA was wrong. Sometimes some in the US would complain about SAS tactics, but they never sympathize with the IRA.

So youre saying they're not?
The great majority of Tea Party members are not racist. The media likes to focus on a very few that are, and that Party itself doesn't care for. You'd be surprised how many people associate themselves and are even paying members of the Tea Party.

Many of them are successful small business folk. Many do not vote Republican either, but know W. and, now, Obama are even worse at this point.

As a protestant Irish american who knows he knows more about this then you do let me say that the fellow was absolutely correct in his analysis of the support the IRA had among catholic Irish americans and the silence about their terrorist activities. While it is impossible to know what % of them actively supported the IRA we can say for sure that the overwhelming percentage of funding for the IRA was provided by catholic Irish americans, there are actually more Irish living in the US then in Ireland with a lot more wealth as well.

The bottom line is he did have a point about being labled a terrorist or a freedom fighter is all dependant on POV.If you support the goals of the IRA thier freedom fighters ,if you don't thier terrorists.Same with the conflicts in the mid east ,latin america etc.

And I speak as a person who grew up as a traditional, Irish Catholic myself in the mid-west! This is a 100% false pretense, that we supported the IRA. It pisses me off to no end. The supporters were were and far between.

Most anyone who showed any sympathy for the IRA were put down hard. Why? Because of exactly the bullshit people like yourself would point to. Too many of us were labelled as ignorant IRA sympathizers by people like yourself. It's really sad that a very, very small few got all of us labelled. Frankly we used to use the conflict as an example of how small and pathetic differences can be that cause people to fight.

Friday, you claim to be an "enlightened" liberal. Yet you apply so many fucking stereotypes at every opportunity. And I'm the ignorant conservative? I think I've shown otherwise, repeatedly. God this board is a great source of anti-Catholic ... almost as much as it is for being anti-semitic.

And yet, looking at our past arguements, it looks like I have more than you. Please, if you are going to go out of your way to insult me, do a better job of it.

You insult yourself with every limp Jewish/Israeli putdown you come up with...sad and useless.
And where do you get that fantasy that you ever kept up with me in any "arguments" we were involved with? You use stereotypes and lame clinches to make silly and simpleminded points that any reasonable person sees right through.
Over and over...
Sad.

Holy crap. Two people ****** off this thread, and one off the last Palestinian/Israel related thread. XD. Think I'm going to avoid this topic on Freeones entirely in the future -- it's almost as big a mine field as the ME desert.

Ummm...not really. There are quite a few people out there that believe there are certain things, things terrorist do that mere freedom fighters or rebels don't, that are never right to do no matter what is being fought for. Those people often speak out against it even when it's there own side or somebody trying the achieve the goals they want.

It's better than simply watching CNN and thinking I have a world opinion like you do. It's a shame that you are so narrow minded you can't see both sides of the coin when trying to prove your point through poorly researched "facts" and the occasional  smiley that seems to make you feel better about yourself. Unlike you, I can manage not to insult someone when they disagree with me. It's called being a grown up. Don't worry; I'll wait for you to go to Google and look up what a grown-up is before you squeeze out another poor attempt to insult me.
