new gorillaz album: Plastic Beach

I just got this too. Glitter Freeze is my fav song on the album, but I'm still getting into it. I'm digging the pop aspect of it. They can make some catchy stuff while maintaining their own unique sound. All their albums are fucking good. Definitely one of the better releases this year so far.

Also, I love the guest appearances on the album too. Mos Def FTW.

This might be the best album Damon Albarn has ever put out. Under any of his bands.

Always listen to Demon Days now and again so will deffo give it a gander.

Supposedly based on the 80's style which would be right up my street.

To be honest I'm not sure what all the fuss is about Gorillaz. Demon Days was a good album but nothing amazing. Plastic Beach is pretty much more of the same, only less so. Shaun Ryder not available? Let's get Mark E Smith. Ike Turner dead? We'll call up Bobby Womack. & a lot of the songs feel half-finished, & there isn't any real stand out track that lingers in the memory.
Maybe it'll grow on me? :dunno:
