The two Washington teams are the only two that fit that description. Meanwhile your Sooners have given up 229 points in their last seven games. That's embarrassing.[/QUOT]
but USC has played teams like Virginia, Arizona St, Notre Dame, Ucla(all very bad offensive teams), and lose to Oregan St.
Also Oklahoma must have outscored those teams by an average of 30 points.
Uh huh. And last time USC played Oklahoma in football, WHAT was the final score? Oh yeah, 55 - 19, Trojans. And what is USC's ALL-TIME overall head-to-head record against the Oklahoma Sooners in football? 6 wins, 2 losses, 1 tie. The Pac-10 was a little down this year, but that doesn't mean that beating Pac-10 teams the way USC generally did this season was like playing WAC teams the way Boise State does, no matter WHAT
some people apparently believe. USC has a very good defense this season. Not the best of all time, and maybe not even the best in the country this season, but it IS very good. They won't get the chance, but USC would be a VERY hard team for any other good team to beat, INCLUDING Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, and Texas. I'm not saying that they'd necessarily beat all four of those teams given the opportunity, but none of those teams would find the USC Trojans an easy team to beat, either.
Alabama has more than sufficiently showed up. SEC Championship looking pretty good.
BUT WHEN WILL MY TROJANS SHOW UP!!!!!! We are getting clobbered by ucla....Geez. Did we even prepare for this game? Fuck...
Yeah, the Bruins came out pretty inspired today (were they pissed off that USC was wearing cardinal against them in the Rose Bowl?), but once that wore off the Bruins were fairly easy pickings for the Trojans. I TOLD you that (F)UCLA quarterback SUCKS! Actually, he played better today than he did most of the season (heck he didn't even get picked off until late in the game!), but as you saw it still wasn't enough to help the Bruins win today. I'm looking forward to USC vs. Penn State in the Rose Bowl. USC has played 5 Big 11 teams since Pete Carroll became their coach in time for the 2001 season, 4 of them in bowl games, 3 in Rose Bowls (Miss-again twice and Illinois). In those games the USC Trojans are 5 - 0 and have outscored their opposition by an average of 36 - 14. Penn State had a good season, but I think we'll see more of the kind of punishment USC has dished out to Big 11 teams since 2001 next month in the 2009 Rose Bowl. I think the Trojans will beat the Nittany Lions by anywhere from 2 to 3 touchdowns. The athleticism of Daryll Clark? It won't mean squat against USC's "D." In my opinion Penn State lost the 2009 Rose Bowl as soon as Oregon State got squashed by the Ducks last Saturday.
