I agree with you. That guy's stuff freaked me the hell out. Do what you will, but holy **** some of his stuff is burned into my brain forever. I'm not sad to see him get hammered.

So because you don't like some guys porn flicks, you want him to go to prison? No one ****** you to watch his movies, and no one was ****** to be in them. I'm not a big fan of his later stuff, but that doesn't mean he should go to prison, because the prosecutors, politicians, and courts of some random state happen to be majority ruled by right wing conservatives. This was a total joke, and the people that tried him clearly wanted to push their agenda, and were allowed to. Thats what you should be outraged by, the fact they were allowed to do this. Whats next, any porn film maker that shows anal sex will be tried for sodomy, the next one that shows a facial cumshot will be prosecuted for indecency? I can think of a whole lot of politicians, whose practices, and policies should be considered far more obscene then any porn flick, but I don't see anyone taking their asses to court.
Sorry to jump on the bandwagon, but I find the decision troubling. Though I have never liked Max Hardcore, or his movies, this does pave the way to some forms of censorship:

From an undercover US Postal inspector ordering 5 discs from Maxworld Prod. to a P.O. Box caused this conviction. The appointees of Bush/Cheney/Rove housecleaning are beginning to bear fruit for social conservatives. Similar obscenity charges been leveled against Buttman and Evil Angel. This case has yet to go to trial. The prosecutors now have a Federal case precedent to go after others. I think this is bad.

Yep we all should be happy, after all his work can be picked up by someone else and start doing almost the same thing. There are people out there that like his **** he was making and like I have stated many times there are pornstars that are willing to be in his kind of movies for the right price.
I didn't like his type of movies because of the "school girl theme" and the way he would smear their faces with spit, their own ***** and lipstick and beside the case that he's an old fart. But his work like many other "porn stuff" out there has been protected by the first amendment. For years a lot of lawmakers, politicians, prosecutors would love the chance of convicting anyone doing "porn" on obscenity charges as define by them. And this my friend since the war on terrorism began has gotten slipped through without pretty much anyone noticing but obscenity charges could range from writting literature or taking sugestive photos like those that were taken for Miley Cyrus in Vanity Fair if anyone were to raise a real case about them that photographer could find herself in big trouble. It's that easy these days.
I didn't like his movies, stopped watching them after he switched to his "dirty schoolgirls theme", but I am not happy fo him getting sentenced. Like I have said before it starts with him, who's next? Jules Jordan? Buttman? Ives Castel?, Freeones? Will you be happy when even this site gets ****** or people in here get prosecuted because of "obscenity violations" according to a few in the goverment? Yeah go ahead and party that your first amendment is going to be wiped out from right under your nose.

Although Hardcore often depicts his actresses as young and sometimes beneath the age of consent, they are not actually under 18. In his film Max Extreme 4, an actress over the age of 18 was portraying a character who states that she is 12 years old.[1]
Based on these movies, the city of Los Angeles in 1998 charged him with ***** pornography and distribution of obscenity. The fact that the actress was over the age of 18 was not disputed; they brought charges based solely on the fact that the actress was portraying a character who was under eighteen years of age.
Just before the case was brought to trial in 2002, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the statute prohibiting adults from portraying ******** in films and books was unconstitutional (See Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition). Based on this ruling, the ***** pornography charges against Hardcore were dismissed. The misdemeanor charge of distribution of obscenity was retained, but the jury failed to reach a verdict. An additional obscenity charge was subsequently levied against him by L.A., again resulting in a hung jury. Hardcore commented that "it was a frivolous waste of public resources."[1]
On October 5, 2005, the offices of Max World Entertainment were raided by the FBI. Five video titles and the office's computer servers were seized, ostensibly for research toward a federal obscenity indictment or a charge related to the 2257 record-keeping law. In response to this action, Hardcore released the following statement: "Once again, the government is wasting tax dollars and otherwise invaluable *************** resources to try to ***** a minority view of morality on all of America. Five of my movies have been targeted by the Federal Prude Patrol. There is no indication of any crime to be alleged except obscenity. If indicted, I will fight to protect my liberty, as well as the liberty of consenting adults to watch other adults engage in lawful, consensual, pleasurable sexual action. Shame on the Bush Department of Justice. I am proud of the movies I make and proud of those who buy and sell those movies."[2]
In 2007 Max Hardcore was indicted by the United States Department of Justice Obscenity Prosecution Task ***** on 10 counts of federal obscenity charges in Tampa, Florida[3][4] and was found guilty on all charges in June 2008.[5]

Well the real point is 8 years of Bush and his love of the evangelicals. These new prosecutors will be going after as many pornographers as possible to deflect criticism of the system. Seriously. Ever since Ed Meese tried to take on Larry Flynt, the Falwell/Robertson/ et al have been trying to remove the scourge of porn from the public landscape. Unfortunately for them, the industry makes too much money for it to go away. However, do not be surprised if the more right leaning social conservatives go after pornographers on obscenity charges.
Somehow the same kind of people who shriek and holler about "obscene pornography" are almost always the same kind of folks who croon and prattle on and rave about the latest "war movie" which invariably shows the 'heroic US armed ******' blowing the 'other side' to smithereens.
On one side you have consensual adults having sex while on the other you have adults (not always consensually) maiming and ******* each other in oft horrific and horrible ways.
Reminds me of that quote from Apocalypse Now:
I don't like Max Hardcore or the drivel he peddles.
But subjective tastes should not be the basis for law.
What's next? Burning "obscene" books? And who the hell decides what's "obscene" anyway? What gift gives these characters this special ability to decide what is and what is not "obscene" for you and me?
Unlike the State which routinely coerces and ****** people to do things against their will under threat of incarceration or worse - Max Hardcore never ****** anyone (capable of giving consent) to do anything against their will.
That the State should prosecute Max for "obscenity", considering it's less than stellar reputation; is probably the best example of 'irony' I have come across in a long time.

Max will be appealing his sentence. His only "crime" was offending people.
People who don't understand what Constitutional rights mean.
