So the Trump Administration, along the Congress' BBB is not going to tax your tips and overtime earnings? It's going to be awfully difficult to separate base pay, overtime earnings, and tips. If you are a U.S. citizen, look at the Form W-2 you get. They list Gross Pay and base taxes off that. If you are in a deferred retirement plan your contributions to a 401 or 457 plan makes an allocation for that. However, no company -- be it ADP, Ceridian, or PayChex -- breaks down your earnings.
So you can attempt to itemize your state, local and real estate taxes you paid or had withheld for the next five years because the base went back up to $40,000.00 because you make less than than $500,000 in income. But after five years, it goes away and reverts back to the meager $10,000.00.
This law is horrible. With so many people needing veteran's assistance or nursing care especially with older Americans, you probably won't have many places to go to because they'll be shuttered. In addition, millions of Americans will lose their health insurance.
