Democrats held an 18% advantage in generic polling in December, now at 4%

But, I thought polls weren't trustworthy, that they were bs...

Don't worry, when the wave will come crash on the shores of Trumpland a lot of GOP congressmen will drown

That’s fine because more than half of those republicans are really democrats and we may have to suffer some losses to put conservatives in office. No way the Democrats take the senate. They have 20 plus seats to defend. They can impeach Trump if they win the house but it will only help him get re-elected in 2020. A 4 percent lead does not translate into winning back the House. No way the senate convicts in a trial either. 7 more years of Trump, snowflake.

There's no way Pence wins the election.
Politicians like Pence or Biden aren't charismatic enough to win the general election

By that logic Emmanuel Macron should've been blown out in his campaign. That guy is as charismatic as a fuzzy avocado.

I don't take these sample polls seriously. You still gotta work hard at it by canvassing for your candidates. I did volunteer phonebanking for Doug Applegate when he ran against incumbent Darrell Issa in 2016. We lost, but it was a close race. Even in races where the Democrats are winning, it's only by a few votes. Conor Lamb won by a razor-thin margin. As did Doug Jones in his win over Roy Moore. I wouldn't just sit on my laurels and be so sure of an inevitable Blue Wave.

I tell you what would make any polls favoring democrats obsolete....voter ID. It's a no-brainer. They should hammer that **** through before the mid terms and really make them sweat.

Macron was a Hollande muppet and Hollande's minister of finance and economy. People who voted for him (he was elected with only 40% of the votes...) were and are far to be the sharpest pencils in the box and if they are facing a bad situation it is just plainly deserved. They got the result of who they voted for, end of discussion. Macron puts Europe in front and before France, no patriotism from him. He is just a muppet from Brussels and the big finance companies. He will ruin France even more than Hollande did.

I was talking about US elections. Charisma isn't as important in french elections. It takes more than that to lure french voters

The french voters have shown proof of stupidity back in 2012 with Hollande and now in 2017 with Macron. I am not even counting and mentioning that the average joe citizen in France believes and gulps down everything the left wing mainstream media says to him like a good submissive sheep. The left wing mainstream media was bought by Macron. Hollande promised a lot and what was the result? just uppershit on all levels. Same will be with Macron. The level of naivety and the lack of maturity as well sense of realism of a big majority of the french voters just showed it. They elected a bad president, so they have no rights to complain but deal with the fact that who you vote for, reflects who you are.

Macron's reform of the Labor Code took effect in January 2018. Today we have just learned that unemployment has fallen by 1% in the first quarter of 2018. And it looks like, even with the protest, the government won't back down, the reforms will be voted ans enacted. Unlike his predecesors who often talk tought before backing down after a few strikes.
When I see the SNCF unions disapointed that the strike doesn't have any effect on the government, when I see the police going after the students protests in the universities, I know I voted for the right guy, for someone who's not there to be popular, who's not constantly looking at the polls but for someone who came in office with a list of "to do things", who will do them all, one by one and won't surrender to the unions.

You believe everything what the press says (the press is macron's muppet) ,sorry not me. You voted for a muppet of Brussells and a muppet of the finance multinationals which is hardly the right guy. Hollande said also that unemployment was falling but fact is that France has 10 % if not 11% of unemployment rate doesn't astonish me. Aside the new recruits which are maily the new graduates coming from les grandes écoles without experience, for people older than 30 years old finding good job in France is a matter of professionnal network and pulling strings from your network to get it. You will think about in a year or two when you have to capitalize by your own to have your own pension and when you will have to pay taxes. You will also see that all the so cold promises from Macron won't be fullfiled, then I will repeat to you again: "you deserved who you voted for."This is not the question of being populat or not, this is the question of being realistic. What positive the Europe of 27 has brought to France? Not a damn thing, and Macron puts Europe before France which is very wrong. With the european constitution rules prevailing our own rules since 2005, this isn't gonna end well and you know it. The Brussels commission should let the countries decide of what is good for themselves.

What positive the Europe of 27 has brought to France ?
Take the SNCF for example : The EU ****** France to open to open the railway market Europe ****** France to open its rail system to the free market, to competition, which is a good thing since it will offer better and cheaper trains, ****** the SNCF to improve and users will no longer be at the mercy of unions that will no longer be able to block the country whenever they want for whatever reason. Without the EU, we won't be talking about the end of the SNCF's monopoly on trains in France

Hollande said also that unemployment was falling but fact is that France has 10 % if not 11% of unemployment rate
Hollande kep promising that unemployment would go down. He never fulfilled that promise. Since Macron took office, the unemployment DOES go down.

Whatever the strings you can pull it won't matter if there's no job. What Macron is doing is trying to create an environment in which jobs are created

Macron won. That cunt Le Pen lost. Get over it buttercup

That may have been humorous if georges had ACTUALLY MENTIONED LE PEN IN HIS POST.
