I needed to add a keyboard player and I figured all the musicians listed are accomplished songwriters in there own right, so they will collaberate...in fact some already have.

Y.know, these things are kinda nice in a never happen kinda way, but in the real world, they would never work, simply because of the talent and egos involved.

Everyone is so talented that their egos wouldn't allow their talents not to shine through and be the center of attention and the results are Og awful music, and on stage brawls between bandmembers.

In the end, everyone loses.

Yes and no. A good number of the musicians I prefer have collaberated on projects...sometimes only for one song...but I have been very surprised on several occasions after reading liner notes. But sadly, you are also right. Steve Howe and Steve Hackett...2 of my favorit guitar players formed a band named GTR...for a whole ONE album....and there are many more that have done the same...Paul Rogers and Jimmy Page had The Firm...although that may have started out as a one album project...who knows.

Wow that's a strong list. Guess the only thing I would question is bass player....Jack Bruce is my personal fave but Entwistle is not bad at all. And Lennon over Richards for sure as songwriter.

Also, a VERY honorable mention on lead guitar to Eric Clapton.

Keyboard? Ray Manzarek, hands-down

Rhythm guitar? Pete Townshend

JMO of course....
