that's how i feel. i think its cool they went back instead of continuing that mess they already made in the films.

i wonder how authentic they will be for the original comics. i never really was into comics but i did have a few of the old blue/yellow crew. im not gonna see it in theaters but maybe eventually on dvd or even tv.

the comic adaptions just lack soul to me.

I don't have a good feelling about this one. Just too much and they keep on adding more and more. And too many things going on with the continuity.

Like, how is Emma Frost OLDER in this movie when it's supposed to be set before the Wolverine movie? And what's up with *****? He's in his blue fur here, but in X2, he's in his normal mutant stage, while in X3, he's blue fur again. And I've heard rumors now they're supposed to have Cyclops *******, Havok, now be his ****** for the movie?

its a classic hollywood big budget movie that works perfect to the marketing people.

Here are reasons X-Men is the worst:

1: Product never matched the hype

2: Casting. Who's idea was it to go with a older, gay Magneto? Rogue nowhere near what she is in comics, Storm looked like she was from Englewood, Sabertooth was a speechless neanderthal, Juggernaut was sorry looking... what the FUCK!?!?!?!

3: Way too many sequels and spinoffs for a shitty franchise.

4: The characters were mostly not explained and went nowhere as it pertains to the story.

They need to just start the fuck over again like they did Batman and Spider-Man. The X-Men films of now are fucking pathetic. Stop beating that ***** to death AND START OVER FRESH. The Punisher has been rebooted 3 times and the last film (though not much of a plot) was fucking awesome. Spider-Man reboot will probably be better than all 3 of Raimi's shitty films (I cant say shitty...the first two were decent but Toper Grace as Eddie Brock/Venom...WTF?).

If they had said that X-Men: First Class was a reboot of the franchise then I would be much more forgiving of the movie. It wouldn't have ties to the others and could stand on it's own. Setting the movie before the others with obvious continuity errors doesn't work.

I like the idea of making X-Men a live action HBO series. They could give all the storylines the proper time to develop. Rather than 2 hours you'd get about 22 hours.

I think they would have taken into account the mistakes of the trilogy and wont fall into the same traps.

It's good some good actors, Fassbender being the number 1, so I'll give it a go. My hopes are not too high at this point...

Thats what I hope happens in this one. I've never followed the movies all that close. Never got into comic books when I was a ***. So this might be entertaining for me. Suppose it would be different if I'd paid attention to the trilogy...

There is a big problem with that, House of M and Decimation SUCKED.



Both of those are also among the 6 or 7 of the worse, incredibly terrible and extremely stupid things Marvel has done in the last ten years and among the reasons along with the other stuff on that list that I have vowed to never buy anything that has to do with Marvel until not only does Joe Quesada have no creative control of the company anymore, but he's completely fired. Even after that they might have to correct all the dumb crap that has happened under him or that he brought about before I give Marvel another chance.
