Jake Roberts Calls Out Gimmick Stealing Indy Wrestler.

Awesome that he not only uses Jake's gimmick, but also uses the "Michaels" last name, one of the most overused names in Indy wrestling. Maybe he should add "Stone Cold" somewhere in there. And yes it appears he does use the DDT too....why wouldn't he? He nows joins my list of favorite stolen Indy gimmicks....replacing previous favorite Dave Mysterio.

Report: Misawa's Died From Spinal Damage

Japan's Mainichi Daily News is reporting that wrestling legend Mitsuharu Misawa died on Saturday night after suffering spinal damage during a match in Hiroshima, Japan. He was 46.

Flair Says He's Done Wrestling In U.S., But Not Overseas.

In an interview with Mike Mooneyham of the Charleston Post and Courier, Ric Flair said he has no plans to diminish his sendoff at WrestleMania 24.

"Don't worry about that ... I'm never going to wrestle again here. It's not going to happen," Flair said. However, he does have plans to wrestle overseas on a tour.

Shane Douglas Pulls A No-Show, Sunny Bails On Francine

Shane Douglas was advertised to wrestle Al Snow at Saturday's "Legends of the Arena" event promoted by longtime ECW performer Francine and her husband Joe to raise money for the American Cancer Society, but pulled a no-show.

Douglas was scheduled to fly in Friday, but claimed he missed his flight. When Douglas attempted to re-book his flight for Saturday, he called claiming an issue at the airport, saying he was there and couldn't rebook the flight. Ultimately, he did not come to the show, and the word going around the locker room was that he was in a cast from his ankle injury at the TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view and "didn't want fans to see him in the cast." Whatever the case may be, Douglas had a plane ticket and a hotel room paid for him, but he didn't come.

Tammy Sytch was also scheduled to appear at the show, but did not appear as well. In fact, her picture was on the banner advertisements promoting the show. Sytch backed out of the appearance to take a booking in California.

Graham Hospitalized

WWE Hall of Famer "Superstar" Billy Graham was hospitalized Friday evening after his legs went numb, reports www.f4wonline.com. X-rays showed two of the discs in his lower back fused on their own with the obliteration of a disc separating them. Graham underwent traction and is back home but missed an independent wrestling event he was scheduled to appear at last night in Massachusetts. The event was a benefit show from the Millennium Wrestling Federation so the "Mermaid Girl" could go to summer camp.

Warrior Comments On Michael Jackson

Former WWF Champion Ultimate Warrior has posted a tongue-in-cheek blog on his official website concerning the passing of Michael Jackson.

Warrior wrote: "I imagine all the crying about the death of this recent drug-soused entertainment freak has most to do with the unfortunate inconvenience that the other drug-soused entertainment freaks now face. They will have to look for another local, safe and reputable babysitter. No longer will they be able to drop their kids off down the street at Jacko's to be watched for the afternoon and spend some play time with his own kids."

XPW Ten Year Anniversary Spectacular! took place on August 22, 2009. The show and official website implies a full return for XPW as "The Real Deal" Damien Steel was named XPW Commissioner, and a World Title tournament also began. Supreme also defended the Deathmatch title against Angel. MDogg 20 Matt Cross & Scorpio Sky went to a time limit draw only to have Luke Hawx come out and challenge Matt Cross to put his XPW World Tag Team Titles on the line. (Matt Cross was one half of the last XPW Tag Team Champions) Matt Cross asked Sky to be his partner, however after he accepted, Luke Hawx revealed his partner to Sky! Luke Hawx & Scorpio Sky walked away Tag Team Champs. (Even though there were no physical belts)

Matt "Riot" Lowry passes away at the age of 21

Matt Lowry, 21, known professionally as Matt Riot, died early Tuesday after collapsing during a Combat Zone Wrestling training session at The Arena in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Lowry had moved to the Philadelphia area in hopes of furthering his wrestling career. Prior to that he'd lived in Ohio and worked for several groups in the Midwest, including Absolute Intense Wrestling, the World Wrestling Coalition, American Luchacore, the Heartland Wrestling Association, and IWA Mid-South. He regularly teamed with good friend Sami Callihan as "The High School Heroes".

The cause of death is currently unknown, though word traveling through wrestling circles is that he suffered a brain hemmorage. An autopsy was scheduled for sometime today.

TNA's Shark Boy Comments On The Passing Of Matt Lowry

Shark Boy was shocked and saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Matthew Lowry on Tuesday at the age of just 21. Lowry attended the Shark Tank wrestling training class twice in 2006 and was exceptionally popular with the group thanks to his work ethic and great sense of humor.

Whether wrestling in the ring or helping out behind the scenes, Lowry was also involved in several Buckeye Pro Wrestling events and was always a major help.

Our sincerest condolences go out to the Matt's family and close personal friends. He will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him.

Up to 13 episodes are reported to have been taped a while back featuring Lexie Fyfe, Daizee Haze, (ROH) Becky Bayless, Lacey Von Erich, Lana Kinnear, Madison Rayne (TNA), Daffney (TNA), Lizzy Valentine, and more.

Jimmy Hart & Leyla Milani host.

I doubt the WWE will ever do that. The Divas don't wrestle, they are there for entertainment. WWE= World Wide Entertainment, not wrestling.

The WWF had Woman's Tag Team Belts at one time.

The WWF Women's Tag Team Championship was a short-lived title in the World Wrestling Federation. When Velvet McIntyre and Princess Victoria joined the WWF in 1984, they were already the reigning NWA Women's Tag Team Champions. The WWF, however, had since withdrawn from the National Wrestling Alliance, who owned the championships, and McIntyre and Victoria were instead recognized as the first WWF.

The Titles were recognized as the first WWF Women's Tag Team Champions.

The National Wrestling Alliance, owned the championships, not the WWF.

Captain Lou Albano passes away at 76

We are sad to report that Capt. Lou Albano has passed away. As we reported earlier this week Albano had been admitted to hospice and was in poor health.

Capt. Lou was a pioneer in wrestling and the model for which managers aspired to be. He will forever be remembered for being a major part of the first Wrestlemania and the success of that show due to his feud with pop star Cyndi Lauper.

Our deepest condolences as well as our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
