But OMG!! -- (that's like 44 years ago.) -- I remember almost all the Centerfolds during that year. Probably because it was John Lennon's last public interview which was during 1980. David Sheff interviewed John Lennon and Yoko Ono in September or October of 1980. Two or three months before he was assassinated. Their inteview appeared in the January 1981 Playboy issue. Barbara Bach (Ringo's future wife) appeared on the January 1981 cover and had a pictorial in the magazine as well. In 1980, you had Sandy Cagle, Henriette Allais, Liz Glazowski, Martha Thomsen, Victoria Cooke, Lisa Welch and Terri Welles all appearing in the magazine. Gig started the year and Terri ended it. A year later you had Karen Elaina Price. The year before Candy Loving.
