With all the focus on brain injuries, is the writing on the wall for the NFL?

I remember a couple of years ago when Bengals receiver Chris Henry was ******. The autopsy showed he had long term brain damage even though he had only been in the league for like 5 seasons and had never been diagnosed with a concussion in school or as a pro.

The NFL is working on improving helmet technology and making rule changes but is that enough? Its simple physics right? If you're traveling at full bore and come to a sudden stop or worse, in the opposite direction in a split second, your brain is going to keep going until something stops it, even without a hit to the head.

All I know is if I had a ***, I wouldn't sign off on them playing football. I think they'd thank me when they're still lucid in their 40's.
