Why there isn't still a Pornhub successor?

I don't know about you, but I've grown sick and tired of the dry spell on the site nowadays. They've stopped being YouTube, they've killed PornPortal, they took down millions of their videos, videos as old as the site itself, and not let anyone upload anything without going through "verification. Please. That not being YouTube. I thought the whole point of YouTube was for anyone to just upload a video for the whole world to see, not "this". And what's worse, we, the consumers just sit around while we just let it happen. Now, when you go on to the site today, it's already a barren wasteland, and it's hard to find videos for a particular fetish you're looking for. I don't understand why no one has the balls to make a successor to Pornhub, where it supports user-generated content, you know, a true YouTube of Porn.

Because of what is now going on with Only Fans. The payment processors / credit card companies get "heat" for indirectly supporting adult content industries.. A successor will have the same thing happen to them.

where it supports user-generated content, you know, a true YouTube of Porn.
When you say "user-generated content", do you mean the pirated works of other people?
AFAIK, PH does allow the actual studios to publish their own videos, you just have to pay for them.

Step in my shop and I'll fix yours too.
Just use Google in the meantime. Porn is still harder to avoid than to find on the internet. Have the same consideration for the girls now as they have had for you in the past.

1. Pornhub has name recognition and public notoriety over every other site that's similar to it. Like in all types of businesses it matters, even if the product gets worse at a latter date. There are businesses that have lived decades off of stuff like that way after they were no longer run well.

2. The largest challengers that might have at one time actually had a chance to rival it also tend to be owned by the same people that own Pornhub. While there are dumb people in porn even they aren't stupid enough to challenge themselves to the point they hurt their own product and revenue stream.

3. As has been stated there are legal issues that will come up with what you want, and even worse due to religious or political views porn will always have more of a target on it's back then a conventional product. Constantly protecting one's self from ever present challenges like that takes a lot of effort, organization, and money.

4. Unless some site becomes super lucky and catches lightning in a bottle big time to realistically challenge a site like that will take a stupidly large amount of investment and money all with no where near a guarantee of success. Incredible luck would also need to be involved. This situation is not as extreme, but it's similar to people asking why some challenger to Amazon, Walmart, Google, Apple, or Aramco doesn't just come about no matter how many uncountable people would like it to be so. To ever realistically pull it off would take so much money and risk to either not be worth it, or maybe so much to be downright impossible in a practical sense.

To add to what D-rock has said. Good points by the way D.

Whatever Mindgeek touches dies. Just look at what they've done to Twistys, Reality Gang, Muffia (part of RK), Digital Playground, Mofos, Reality Kings, and Brazzers. They don't fix videos that are broken, they just take them down. Add photo galleries and adult models and actresses that have been delisted. Don't get me started with that. Removed by the hundreds at the sites they own or control. That's why Playboy Enterprises and Wicked Pictures pulled their sites from Mindgeek and the Brazzers PornPortal. Ben Kohn and Christie Hefner (of Playboy) and Steve Orenstein (the CEO of Wicked Pictures), Brad Armstrong and Axel Braun (interested parties) didn't like what they saw with what was happening at the other sites.
